Özet

Son yıllarda yapılan çalışmalarda eğitimde sorgulamaya dayalı öğretim uygulamaları ile yapılan araştırmalar öğrencinin akademik başarısına, tutumlarına, kavramsal anlamalarına etkisi incelenmiştir. Alan yazında farklı konulara ilişkin kavram yanılgısı belirleme ve giderilmesine yönelik çalışmaların olduğu görülmüştür. Bu çalışmada sorgulamaya dayalı öğretimin Fen Bilgisi Öğretmen adaylarının elektrostatik konusu üzerinde var olan kavram yanılgılarının belirlenmesi ve Sorgulamaya Dayalı öğretim ile giderilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma grubu, Balıkesir Üniversitesi Necatibey Eğitim Fakültesinde Fen Bilimleri Anabilim Dalında öğrenim gören 1.sınıf, 50 Fen Bilimleri Öğretmenliği öğrencisidir. Araştırma kapsamında veri toplama aracı olarak yarı yapılandırılmış on üç sorudan oluşan açık uçlu kavram testi uygulanmıştır. Bu test öğretim öncesi ve sonrası, ön test ve son test olarak kullanılmıştır. Ayrıca öğretim sonrasında 5 öğrenci ile görüşmeler de yapılmıştır. Veriler nitel olarak betimsel bir yöntemle analiz edilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre öğrencilerde öğretim sonrasında öğretim öncesine kıyasla kavram yanılgılarının kısmen giderildiği tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca yapılan görüşmeler sonucunda sorgulama temelli öğretimin öğrencilerin konuyu öğrenmelerinde etkili bir yöntem olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.

In recent studies, the effects of inquiry-based teaching practices in education and their effects on students'academic achievement, attitudes, and conceptual understanding have been examined. In the literature, it is seen that there are studies on determining and eliminating the misconception about different topics. In this study, it was aimed to identify the conceptual misconceptions on the electrostatic subject of Science Teacher candidates based on inquiry and to eliminate them with inquiry-based teaching. The participant group of the study consists of 50 Science Education 1st year students studying at the Faculty of Science at Balıkesir University Necatibey Education Faculty. In the scope of the study, an open-ended concept test consisting of thirteen semi-structured questions was used as a data collection tool. This test was used before and after teaching, as pretest and posttest. Additionally, after the education, 5 students were interviewed. The data were analyzed qualitatively with a descriptive method. According to the results obtained, it was determined that the misconceptions of the students were partially eliminated after the education compared to before the education. Also, as a result of the interviews, it was concluded that inquiry-based teaching is an effective method for students to learn the subject.
