Özet
Bu araştırma ile Türkçe ders kitaplarındaki bilinmeyen sözcüklerin bir eğitim öğretim yılı sonunda öğrenciler tarafından içselleştirilme durumunun saptanması amaçlanmıştır. Veriler, tabakalı amaçsal örnekleme (stratified purposeful sampling) yöntemine göre seçilen 373 öğrencinin oluşturduğu çalışma grubundan toplanmıştır. Ön-test verileri, öğretim yılının birinci ve üçüncü haftasında okuma formları ve sözcük testi ile elde edilmiştir. Toplanan veriler araştırma çerçevesinde hazırlanan veri işleme tablosuna aktarılmıştır. Son-test verileri ise eğitim öğretim yılının ikinci yarıyılı 24. haftasında son tema tamamlandıktan sonra uygulanmıştır. Veri işleme tablosuna aktarılan ön-test ve son-test verilerinin yer aldığı tablolarda öğrencilerin ne kadarlık ilerleme kaydettiği belirlenmiştir. Bu belirlemede, betimsel ve karşılaştırma çözümlemelerinden yararlanılmıştır. Yapılan çözümleme sonucunda eğitim öğretim süreci sonunda öğrencilerin sözcük dağarcığına %13,57 oranında yeni sözcük aldığı saptanmıştır. Eğitim öğretim süreci sonunda bir öğrencinin sözcük dağarcığındaki gelişimin ise yaklaşık %0,26 olduğu ve bu oranın da ortalama 2,35 sözcüğe denk geldiği bulgulanmıştır. İçselleştirilerek alıcı ve üretici sözcük dağarcığına alınan sözcüklerin görünümü, sınıf düzeyi ve okulların sosyoekonomik durumu değişkenlerine göre anlamlı farklılık göstermiştir. Araştırmanın sonuçları, eğitim öğretim süreci sonunda öğrencilerin alıcı ve üretici sözcük dağarcığına yeterince sözcük almadıklarını ortaya koymuştur. Bu bakımdan sözcük öğretiminde alıcı ve üretici sözcük dağarcığını oluşturan okuma, dinleme, konuşma ve yazma süreçlerinden mutlaka yararlanılmalıdır.

With this research, it has been aimed to be determined the state of internalizing unknown words in Turkish textbooks by students at the end of an academic year. The data were collected from the study group of 373 students who were selected according to the stratified purposeful sampling method. Pre-test data were acquired by reading forms and vocabulary test in the first and third weeks of the school year. The gathered data was transferred to the data processing table which was prepared within the framework of the research. It is determined how much progress the students have made in the tables containing the pre-test and post-test data which were transferred to the data processing table.The descriptive and the comparison analyzes were used in this determination. According to the research findings, It was determined that students added new words at the rate of 13.57% to their vocabulary at the end of an education process. At the end of the education process it was found that the improvement in a student's vocabulary was about 0,26% and this rate corresponded to an average 2,35 words. The emergence of words taken into the recipient and generative vocabulary by intrinsically showed a meaningful difference based on class levels and the socio economic status of schools. The results of the research revealed that students do not get enough words to the recipient and generative vocabulary at the end of the education process. In this regard, definitely it must be made use of the reading, listening, speaking and writing processes that create the recipient and generative vocabulary in word teaching.
