Özet
Bu çalışma Türk Sosyoloji Tarihi ve Türk Eğitim Tarihi içerisinde önemli bir yere sahip olan İsmail Hakkı Baltacıoğlu'nun eğitime dair görüşleri ve bu görüşlerinin Yapısal Fonksiyonalist kuram çerçevesinde ele alınıp incelenmesi üzerine yapılan bir çalışmadır. Günümüzde bile hala tartışılan eğitim- öğretim sistemini 1930'lu yıllarda eleştiren ve değişimi zorunlu gören Baltacıoğlu, geleneksel eğitim sistemini bırakıp çağdaş ve işlevselci bir eğitim anlayışına geçilmesi gerektiği görüşünü savunmuştur. Bu görüşlerini başlıca İçtimai Mektep ve Pedagojide İhtilal isimli eserlerinde ve diğer birçok yazısında detaylıca anlatarak değişimin gerekliliğini ortaya koymuştur. Bu çalışmada, eğitim ve sosyoloji disiplinlerine katkı sağlayan ve alanın önemli isimlerinden olan İsmail Hakkı Baltacıoğlu kimdir ve görüşleri nelerdir? Eğitim hakkındaki düşüncelerini şekillendiren olaylar nelerdir? Yapısal işlevselci kuram ile eğitim arasında nasıl bir ilişki kurmuştur? Yapısal işlevselci kuramın doğuşu ve eğitime dair görüşleri nelerdir? Yapısal işlevselci eğitim anlayışı ile İsmail Hakkı Baltacıoğlu'nun eğitim anlayışı arasında nasıl benzerlikler vardır? Soruları hedef alınarak değerlendirmeler yapılmıştır. Araştırma, Türkiye'de eğitim sisteminin mevcut yapısı, geçmişten günümüze eğitime dair görüşler ve işlevselci anlayışın eğitim modeli konuları üzerinden İsmail Hakkı Baltacıoğlu'nun düşünce dünyası anlamak açısından yol gösterici bir çalışma olacaktır.

This study is a study on the views of İsmail Hakkı Baltacıoğlu, who has an important place in the History of Turkish Sociology and the History of Turkish Education, on education and examining these views within the framework of Structural Functionalist theory. Baltacıoğlu, who criticized the education system, which is still discussed even today, in the 1930s and saw change as necessary, defended the view that we should leave the traditional education system and move to a modern and functionalist education approach. He explained these views in detail in his works titled İçtimai Mektep and Pedagojide Revolution, and revealed the necessity of change. In this study, who is İsmail Hakkı Baltacıoğlu, who contributes to the disciplines of education and sociology and is one of the important names in the field, and what are his views? What are the events that shape their thoughts about education? How did he establish a relationship between structural functionalist theory and education? What are his views on the emergence of structural functionalist theory and education? What are the similarities between the structural functionalist understanding of education and İsmail Hakkı Baltacıoğlu's understanding of education? Evaluations were made by targeting the questions. The research will be a guiding study in terms of understanding İsmail Hakkı Baltacıoğlu's world of thought through the current structure of the education system in Turkey, the views on education from the past to the present, and the educational model of the functionalist understanding.
