Özet

Bu çalışmanın amacı Osmanlı İmparatorluğu'nda yaşanılan taht mücadelelerini II. Bayezid ve Cem Sultan özelinde incelemektir. Aynı zamanda devlet adamlarının bu mücadeleye etkileri ele alınacaktır. Osmanlı Devleti'nde yaşanılan taht mücadeleleri çoğunlukla devlet adamlarının kışkırtmasıyla ortaya çıkmıştır. Osmanlı Devleti'nde genellikle Türkmen ve Devşirme kökenli paşalar rekabet halindedir. Ancak buradaki mücadele bir istisnadır. Şehzadelerin savaşı, Fatih'in politikalarından zarar görenler ve izinden gidenlerin mücadelesidir. Bu mücadeleyi diğer veraset savaşlarından ayıran özellik budur. Dolayısıyla devlet adamlarının tercihleri ideolojik değildir. Cem ve II. Bayezid mücadelesi, yeniliğin ve geleneğin çarpışmasıdır. Bu yıllarda Osmanlı Veraset Sistemi'nde tahtın tevarüsü için belirleyici bir kural yoktur. Bu durum şehzadelerin mücadelesinde devlet adamlarının etkisini arttırmıştır. Bu çalışmada II. Bayezid ve Cem Sultan arasındaki taht mücadelesinin sıradan bir olay değil arkasında çok sayıda plan ve programın olduğuna vurgu yapılacaktır. Dönemin ana kaynaklarından olan kronikler ışığında yola çıkılarak XV. Yüzyıl Osmanlı Tarihi'ne damga vurmuş bu mücadele tüm ayrıntısı ile anlatılacaktır.

The aim of this study is to examine the throne struggles that were experienced in the Ottoman Empire within the II. Bayezid and Cem Sultan. At the same time, the effects of statesmen on this struggle will be discussed. The throne struggles in the Ottoman Empire mostly emerged with the provocation of statesmen. In the Ottoman Empire, generally Turkmen and devshirmed pashas were in a competition. However, the struggle that consist of here is an exception. The war of sultan's son is the struggle of those who suffered from the policies of Fatih and those who followed him. This is what distinguishes this struggle from other succession wars. Therefore, the preferences of Statesmen are not ideological. Cem and II. Bayezid's struggle is the collision of innovation and tradition. In these years, there is no determining rule for the devolution of the throne in the Ottoman Succession system. This situation increased the influence of statesmen in the struggle of sultan's sons. In this study, It will be emphasized that the struggle for the throne between II. Beyazid and Cem Sultan is not an ordinary event, but there are many plans and programs behind it. Based on the chronicles, one of the main sources of the period, this struggle, which marked the 15th Century Ottoman History, will be explained in full detail.
