SUMMARY KeyAvords: Arlift. Menlift Although the lifts are often come by and used by man in daily life, in this study they are not only taken as vertical transportation machines, but also studied as important machines including very important factors. Therefore there are some important criterions that should be considered when someone is choosing a lift for a bulding or industrial astate. As the purpose of the vertical transportation is to transport, this transportation should be within the shortest time and in the safest way, to be able to fulfill the purpose the desing and the plan parameters must be chosen carefully and be obeyed. As lift trip starts with the press of a button if finishes by passengers stepping out of the lift cabin. To be able to make the journey in the shortest time and the safest way, it is necessary to choose the lift design parameters in the most convenient way and the kind of points that should be paid attention to is explained. The aim is to serve man at the maximum level by calculating lift traffic according to these parameters. Considering the lift assembly is done any once or to replace is very costly; it is necessary to be careful with some lift parameters when choosing them first. Then calculation of lift traffic should be done beforehand to provide a comfortable service. Other wise when there is a traffic jam the lift will became a torturing machine instead of a service machine, or if there is a very seldom usage of the lift there will be an unnecessary financial cost for the lift owner and the national economy. Considering these aspects, so far lifts have been produced disregarding all these parameters which are considered during lift designs. From now on parameters should be chosen according to service conditions and according to the traffic calculation results which were done in the light of these parameters and the lifts should be presented for service in the most convenient conditions. In this study the importance of this subject is emphasized.
