Özet
21. yüzyılın en çok tartışılan ve ele alınan konularından olan teknoloji günden güne gelişimini devam ettirmektedir. Bu gelişmeler, birçok çalışmada belirtildiği üzere; bireylerin yaşamlarının çeşitli alanlarında farklı düzeylerde olumlu veya olumsuz yönde etkilere neden olmaktadır. Ev, bir bireyin temel yaşama birimi olmak ile birlikte özel mekân kavramı bağlamında kişilerin genellikle ilk ilişkilendirdiği mekandır. Ancak video konferans teknolojisi ile ev mekânı içerisinde açılan kameralar evin tanımındaki kavramların yeniden tartışılmasını gerektiren etkilere sebebiyet vermektedir. Küreselleşen dünya ile daha fazla tercih edilen evden çalışmanın özellikle 2019 yılının son aylarında tüm dünyayı etkisi altına alan pandemi sebebi ile karantina uygulamaları doğrultusunda daha fazla yaygınlaştığı bilinmekte ve çoğu sektörün gelecekte de bu çalışma biçimine devam edeceği tahmin edilmektedir. Bu kapsamda; ev içerisinde gerçekleştirilen video konferanslar ile daha fazla bireyin fiziksel olmasa dahi misafir olacakları söylenebilmektedir. Bu çalışma kapsamında; evin, video konferans uygulamaları sebebi ile mahremiyet tanımının dönüşümü doğrultusunda özel bir mekân olmaktan uzaklaşırken kamusala yaklaşması, sanallaşması diğer bir deyiş ile kamu-sanal bir mekân olma durumu sorgulanmıştır. Bu duruma ek olarak, çalışma kapsamında ele alınan sorular konut ve ev ikileminde sorgulanmıştır. Diğer bir yandan evin alt kavramlarındaki değişimler sebebi ile anlam olarak konuta yaklaşma düzeyi de ele alınan konulardandır. Çalışma kapsamında, incelenen konu başlıkları ve yapılan sorgulamalar yalnızca literatür analizi ile sınırlandırılmamıştır. Buna ek olarak, evden çalışma deneyimine sahip ve video konferans uygulamalarını kullanan 99 kişinin katılım gösterdiği 27 soruluk bir anket gerçekleştirilmiştir. Tüm bunlar doğrultusunda, tezin sonunda katılımcılar tarafından verilen cevaplar literatür taraması ile bir araya getirilerek analiz edilmiştir.

Technology, which is one of the most discussed topics of the 21st century, continues to develop day by day. These developments, as stated in many studies; cause positive as well as negative effects with different impact in people´s lives. Home is the basic living unit of human being as well as it is the first thing that people generally associate with the context of the concept of private space. However, cameras opened in home with video conferencing technology cause effects that require re-discussion of the concepts in the definition of the home. It is known that the possibility of working from home walked hand in hand with development of information technologies and globalization itself. Recent pandemic of Covid19 just exposed this process more and it is estimated that most sectors will tend to use home office in the future. In this context using videoconferences while being on home office, it can bring more individuals as guests even if they are not there physically. This study focuses on the issue that meaning of home is shifting from definition of private space to public space thanks to using videoconferences during home office. The reason of this change is transformation of definition of privacy meaning. Within the scope of the study, the topics examined and the inquiries made were not limited to the literature analysis only. The thesis cointains questionnaire as well. To sum up, 27-question survey was conducted in which 99 people who have experience of working from home and who use video conferencing applications participated. Questions were also focused on the housing and home dilemma. It is important to state that due to the changes in the sub-concepts of the home meaning itself, the level of approaching the house in terms of meaning is also one of the issues discussed. In the light of all the information given above, the answers given by the participants were brought together with a literature review and analyzed.
