Today, organizations comply with some management standards due to developing technology and increasing competition. Although adhering to these standards are mostly voluntary, they have become a necessity to gain respect in the market and improve relationships with stakeholders. Many businesses have been transitioning to integrated management systems in recent years. Quality, Environment and Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems form the basis of these systems. These three systems also form the basis for the study. This dissertation provides a detailed explanation for integrated management systems and examines the current status of the integrated system in Turkish shipyards. In doing so, it aims to fill the gap on shipyards in the literature. The research aim is to learn the status of integrated management systems in shipyards, determine how they will be implemented, and identify their benefits, disadvantages and challenges to the shipyards. The study has two main stages. The first stage consists of the literature review as well as all the features, benefits, difficulties and content of integrated management systems, followed by a rundown of the most important integrated management models. The second stage consists of, the survey conducted with Turkish shipyards, and its analyses, examinations as well as suggestions informed by the survey. In conclusion, considering the survey, we can say that Turkish shipyards are eager for an integrated management system and they are trying to invest in it. However, it is obvious that a certain amount of time, effort and resources is required for these newly implemented systems. It is thought that the study will contribute to the literature on this subject and will pave the way for possible future studies in the field.
