Radical and incremental service innovations are launched by both startups and established companies. Radical innovations are particularly considered as critical when launched to potential customers. Both incremental and radical innovations are associated with a high level of uncertainty by customers. On the basis of the signaling theory, companies should have welldesigned go-to-market strategies for the target market to reduce information asymmetry. The go-to-market strategy is required to contain persuasive signal information to convey customer perceptions. Using the historical approach, this study identifies the bundle of signal vehicles used by successful and failed companies, signaling their radical or incremental innovations. In addition to trust and usability, further signals such as holistic, beneficial, economic, and fair service were found, which comprise the content marketing strategy. With service-related features, radical and incremental innovations were launched successfully. In the present study, there were no differences between the signaling of radical and incremental innovations. This thesis advises managers to communicate as many signals as possible in regards to holistic, beneficial, economic, and fair service.
