Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı, görsel sanatlar öğretmenlerinin ve görsel sanatlar alanında görev yapan öğretim üyelerinin görsel sanatlar dersine ilişkin görüşlerinin incelenmesidir. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden olgu bilim desenden faydalanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2020-2021 eğitim-öğretim yılında Sivas İli Merkez ve İlçelerinde devlet ve özel okullarda görev yapan 18 görsel sanatlar öğretmeni ve Sivas Cumhuriyet Üniversitesinde görsel sanatlar alanında görev yapan 5 öğretim üyesi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmaya katılan görsel sanatlar öğretmenleri ve öğretim üyeleri amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden biri olan ölçüt örnekleme yöntemi ile seçilmiştir. Verilerin toplanmasında yarı yapılandırılmış öğretmen görüşme formu ve öğretim üyesi görüşme formu olmak üzere iki ayrı form kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen bulgular Nvivo Plus programı aracılığıyla içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Bunun sonucunda öğretim üyesi görüşlerine yönelik 24 kategori (derse karşı ilgi, dersten keyif alma, ders etkinliklerine yönelik isteklilik…), 35 kod (gelecek kaygısı, alan hakkında yeteri kadar bilgi sahibi olmama, odaklanma…) ve öğretmen görüşlerine yönelik 62 kategori(derse karşı ilgi, dersten keyif alma, ders etkinliklerine yönelik isteklilik…) 88 kod (yaş grubuna göre, etkinlik düzeyine göre, dersi gereksiz olarak görme…) tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmanın bulgularına göre görsel sanatlar alanında görev yapan öğretim üyelerinin görsel sanatlar dersinin uygulama boyutunun dersin nitelikli yürütülebilmesi için önemli olduğunu ifade etmektedirler. Görsel sanatlar öğretmenlerinin öğrenci görüşlerini değerlendirdiği bulgularda öğrencilerin dersi sevip, önemli gördüğü yalnız ebeveyn tutumunun öğrenci görüşünü önemli ölçüde etkilediği, veli tutumlarının derse karşı genelde olumsuz yönde olduğu ortaya koyulmuştur. Öğretmenlerin karşılaştıkları sorunlar ifade edilirken dersin önemsenmemesi, ailelerin ekonomik durumları ve ders saatinin yetersizliği önemli bulgular içerisindedir. Derslerin nitelikli olarak yürütülmesi için öğretmenler, okulda bir atölyenin olması gerektiğine ve dersin işlenişi konusunda materyal sağlanma konusuna dikkat çekerken, öğretmenlerin öğretim programında dersin değerli oluşuna yeteri kadar vurgu yapılmamasına yönelik ifadeleri çarpıcı bulgular arasındandır.

The purpose of this research is to examine the views of visual arts teachers and faculty members working in the field of visual arts about the visual arts course. In the research, phenomenology design, one of the qualitative research methods, was used. The study group of the research consists of 18 visual arts teachers working in public and private schools in Sivas Province Center and Districts in the 2020-2021 academic year, and 5 faculty members working in the field of visual arts at Sivas Cumhuriyet University. Visual arts teachers and lecturers participating in the research were selected with the criterion sampling method, which is one of the purposeful sampling methods. In the collection of data, two separate forms, semi-structured teacher interview form and lecturer interview form, were used. The findings obtained in the research were analyzed using the content analysis method through the Nvivo Plus program. As a result, 24 categories (interest in the lesson, enjoying the lesson, willingness for lesson activities…), 35 codes (anxiety about the future, not knowing enough about the field, focusing…) and 62 categories (against the lesson…) of the views of the lecturer interest, enjoying the lesson, willingness for lesson activities…) 88 codes (according to age group, activity level, seeing the lesson as unnecessary…) were determined. According to the findings of the research, faculty members working in the field of visual arts state that the application dimension of the visual arts course is important for the course to be conducted in a qualified manner. In the findings in which visual arts teachers evaluated the students' views, it was revealed that the only parent's attitude, which the students liked the lesson and considered important, affected the student's opinion significantly, and the attitudes of the parents were generally negative towards the lesson. While expressing the problems faced by the teachers, not paying attention to the lesson, the economic situation of the families and the inadequacy of the lesson hours are among the important findings. While the teachers drew attention to the fact that there should be a workshop in the school in order for the courses to be conducted in a qualified manner and to provide material on the teaching of the course, the teachers' statements about the lack of emphasis on the value of the course in the curriculum are among the striking findings.
