Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı, fen bilimleri dersinde eğitsel oyun destekli fen öğretiminin öğrenci akademik başarısı ve öğrenci görüşlerine yönelik etkisini incelemektir. Bu amaçla,“Madde ve Değişim”ünitesinde yer alan ısı ve sıcaklık konusunun eğitsel oyun ile öğretiminin, Millî Eğitim Bakanlığı Fen Bilimleri dersi öğretim programı (2018) ders kitabına dayalı öğretime göre öğrencilerin akademik başarısı ve görüşleri üzerine etkileri karşılaştırılmıştır. Araştırma 2021- 2022 eğitim- öğretim yılının birinci döneminde, Kahramanmaraş ili Afşin ilçesinde bir devlet okulunun 5. sınıfında öğrenim görmekte olan 28 öğrenci ile yürütülmüştür. 5. sınıf öğrencileri iki şubeye ayrılıp biri deney ve biri kontrol grubu olarak belirlenmiştir. Araştırma ön test ve son test uygulamaları ile birlikte toplam 6 hafta sürmüştür. Araştırmada deney grubunda ısı ve sıcaklık konusunu araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan eğitsel oyun destekli işlenirken, kontrol grubunda MEB Fen Bilimleri Dersi Öğretim programı (2018) ders kitabına dayalı öğretim yoluyla ders işlenmiştir. Araştırmada karma desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın nicel verilerinin toplanmasında ön test- son test kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Uygulama öncesi grupların ısı ve sıcaklık konusu ile ilgili hazırbulunuşluk düzeylerini ölçmek için ön test olarak uygulanan akademik başarı testi, uygulama sonrasında grupların akademik başarı seviyelerini karşılaştırmak için son test olarak uygulanmıştır. Ayrıca araştırmanın nitel verilerinin toplanmasında ,deney grubundan rastgele seçilen 5 öğrenci ile yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen nicel veriler SPSS ile analiz edilmiştir. Bağımlı ve bağımsız t- testi kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen analizler sonucunda deney grubu lehine anlamlı fark bulunmuştur. Nitel bulgular sonucunda ise öğrencilerin eğitsel oyunla işlenen dersin onlarda keyif, eğlence, heyecan gibi olumlu duygular hissettirdiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

The purpose of this research is to examine the effect of educational game-supported science teaching on students' academic success and student views in science lessons. For this purpose, the teaching of heat and temperature in the 'Matter and Change' unit with educational games and the teaching of the same unit by using the textbook-based teaching of the Ministry of National Education Science course curriculum (2018) have been compared in terms of the academic success and opinions of the students. The research has been carried out with 28 students studying in the 5th grade of a public school in the Afşin district of Kahramanmaraş province in the first semester of the 2021-2022 academic year. The 5th grade students have beem divided into two groups, one as the experimental group and the other as the control group. The research lasts for a total of 6 weeks, including the pre-test and post-test applications. In the study, the subject of heat and temperature has been taught in the experimental group with the support of the educational game prepared by the researcher, while in the control group, the course has been taught using the teaching method based on the MEB Science Course Curriculum (2018) textbook. Mixed design has been used in the research. A quasi-experimental design with pretest-posttest control group has been used to collect the quantitative data of the study. The academic achievement test, which is applied as a pre-test to measure the readiness levels of the groups about heat and temperature before the application, has been applied as a post-test to compare the academic achievement levels of the groups after the application. In addition, in the collection of qualitative data of the research, semi-structured interviews have been conducted with 5 randomly selected students from the experimental group. The quantitative data obtained as a result of the research have been analyzed with SPSS. Dependent and independent t-tests have been used. As a result of the analyzes obtained, a significant difference has been found in favor of the experimental group. As a result of the qualitative findings, it has been concluded that the course taught with the educational games make the students feel positive emotions such as pleasure, fun and excitement.
