Özet
11 ÖZET Bu araştırmada Kız Meslek Lisesi ve Endüstri Meslek Liselerinin I. ve III. sınıf öğrencilerinin Kaygı ve Uyum düzeylerinin, Sigara içme alışkanlıkları üzerinde etkili olup olmadığı incelenmiştir. Ayrıca araştırmada yaş, cinsiyet? sınıf düzeyi gibi değişkenlerin Sigara içme alışkanlığına etkileri de incelenmiştir. Araştırmada öğrencilerin Kaygı düzeyini saptamak için Durumluk-Sürekli Kaygı Envanteri, uyum düzeylerini sapta mak için Hacettepe Kişilik Envanteri, değişkenler hakkında bilgi toplamak için de araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen Sigara içme Anketi Kullanılmıştır. Araştırma Yenimahalle Kız Meslek Lisesi ve Yenimahal le Endüstri Meslek Lisesi, I. ve III. sınıf öğrencilerinden, 545 kişilik grup üzerinde yapılmıştır. Araştırmada her değişkenin Sigara içme alışkanlığı üzerinde etkili olup olmadığı incelenmiştir. Değişkenlerin bağımsız testi Kî Kare (X ) testi ile yapılmış, değişkenler arasındaki ilişki de Kontincensi Korelasyon Katsayısı ( C ) ile hesaplanmıştır. Bu araştırmadan elde edilen bulgular şöyledir: Endüstri Meslek Lisesi ve Kız Meslek Lisesi, I, ve III, sınıf öğrencilerinden Sigara içenlerin Durumluk Kaygı düzeylerinin içmeyenlere göre daha yüksek olacağı denence- si doğrulanmamıştır. Endüstri Meslek Lisesi-I, sınıf dışın da, Endüstri Meslek Lisesi-III. ve Kız Meslek Lisesi I. ve III, sınıf öğrencilerinden, Sigara içenlerin Kişisel, Sos yal ve Genel Uyum düzeylerinin içmeyenlere göre daha düşük olacağı denencesi de doğrulanmamıştır. Ancak Endüstri Mes lek Lisesi-I, sınıfta Sigara içenlerin Sosyal ve Genel Uyum düzeyleri, 'içmeyenlere göre daha düşük bulunmuştumIll Yaşın Sigara içme alışkanlıklarına beklendiği gibi etkilediği saptanmıştır. Yaş büyüdükçe Sigara içme alış kanlığı artmıştır. Cinsiyetin Sigara içme alışkanlığını» beklendiği gi bi etkilediği saptanmıştır. Erkek öğrencilerin daha fazla Sigara içtiği saptanmıştır. Sınıf düzeyleri arttıkça Sigara içme alışkanlığının arttığı saptanmıştır. Lise-III. sınıf öğrencileri daha faz la Sigara içmektedirler. Bu araştırmanın bulguları, Sigara içme alışkanlığı nın Lise öğrencilerini tehdit eden bir bağımlılık durumun da olduğunu ortaya koymuştur.

XV SUMMARY In this study, the effect of Cigarette smoking habits on the anxiety and adjustment levels of the 9 and 11 grade students in Girl1 s Occupational High School and In dustrial Occupational High School. Furthermore/ the rela tionship of Cigarette smoking habits between variables such as the age, sex and grade levels of students have been eva luated. In this study, State-Trait Anxiety inventory used in order to determine the anxiety levels of the high school students, Hacettepe Personel Inventory to assess the ad justment level and a questionnaire on Cigarette smoking prepared by the researches of this study was utilized to collect data on the variables. This study consists of a group of 545 students in the 9 and 11 grades attending Yenimahalle Girl's Oc cupational High School and Yenimahalle Industrial Occupa tional High School. In this study, the effect of Cigarette smoking on each variable has been evaluated. Chi Square test is used for the independence test of the variables and the rela tionship between these variables is calculated by using the Contingency Correlation Coefficient. As a result of this study, the following findings were obtained. It was not found that the level of the state of anxiety of 9 and 11 grade students from at Industrial Occupational High School and Girl's Occupational High School who smoked Cigarettes were higher as compared to those students who were non-smokers with the exception of the 9 grade students attenting Industrial Occupati onal High School, it was also not found that personel,Social and General adjustment levels of the 11 grade students from Industrial Occupational High School and 9 and 11 grade students from Girl's Occupational High School who were non-smokers were higher as compa red to those who smoked. However the Social and Gene- ral adjustment levels of 9 grade students from Indust rial Occupational High School who were cigarette smokers were determined to be lower than those who did not smoke. It was determined that cigarette smoking habit did have an effect on the age of students as has been anti cipated. Cigarette smoking habit increased with age. It was determined that, as has been anticipated. Cigarette smoking habit affected the sex. It has been found that male students smoked more than the girls. It has been found that cigarette smoking increased with grade levels. The 11 graders smoked more as com pared to others. It can thus be concluded from this study that ci garette smoking has become a bad habit threatening the health of high school students.
