Özet
This study aims to shed light on Bediüzzaman Said Nursi's method in proving the existence and the oneness of Allah and his efforts in responding to modern trends of thoughts. To that end, the researcher begins with introducing Bediüzzaman Said Nursi to the reader along with his life, the period in which he lived and where he stood in the scholarly community. The researcher then proceeds to address the Sunni ulama's method in proving the existence and the oneness of Allah Almighty, then continues with presenting Said Nursi's method in tackling the before mentioned cases with an extensive explanation. Finally, the study discusses Said Nursi's efforts in his responses to doubts cast by modern trends of thoughts (Atheism, Secularism and Communism) and his style of presenting them. The study has reached several conclusions, the most important of them are; Said Nursi's method in proving Allah's existence and his oneness is special and unique amongst the Sunni ulama. In addition, Said Nursi responded to modern trends of thoughts with a scientific method relying on strong evidence.
