Özet

Brown heart (BH) is one of the principal diseases of swede. Because swede with BH is not preferred by the people, it harms swede producers economically. This problem is difficult to diagnose from the outside of the swede as it is not apparent from the outside of the swedes. To identify whether there is a BH in the swede, it is identified by cutting the swede in half and looking inside it. However, even if BH is diagnosed during this period, no application will eliminate the BH problem during this period. In this context, swede growers try to eliminate this problem by applying Boron (B) in the early period in order to avoid BH problem. Therefore, some farmers both economically harm themselves and the environment by using excessive B in order to avoid this problem. This study aims to detect the factors that are effective in the mechanisms of B uptake and transport in Brassica napus, the genes related to the BH problem, and to prevent the loss of the farmers due to the BH and the use of excess B by ensuring that farmers use varieties resistant to those problems.
