Özet
Bu araştırma 2017-2018 eğitim öğretim yılında, ilköğretimden orta öğretime geçiş için ilk kez uygulanmaya konulan Liselere Geçiş Sisteminin (LGS) 8. sınıf öğrencileri ve velileri ile öğretmenler üzerindeki olumlu ve olumsuz etkilerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Eğitim ve öğretimin merkezinde bulunan öğrencilerin yanı sıra öğretmen ve velilerin yeni sistem hakkındaki görüşleri alınarak, değişen sistemin öğrencileri, öğretmenleri ve velileri nasıl etkilediği incelenmiştir. Nitelendirilen bu önem ve amaç doğrultusunda araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, Hatay ilinde öğrenim gören 8. sınıf öğrencileri ve velileri ile bu ilde görev yapan ortaokul öğretmenleri oluşturmuştur. Nicel araştırma çalışma desenlerinden tarama araştırması temel alınarak yürütülen bu araştırmanın katılımcıları küme örnekleme yöntemine göre belirlenmiş olup veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen 5'li likert tipinde sorulardan oluşan anket formundan yararlanılmıştır.

The aim of this research is to examine the positive and negative effects of the Transition to High Schools System (LGS), which was put into practice for the first time for the transition from primary to secondary education in the 2017-2018 academic year, on 8th grade students, their parents and teachers. In addition to the students who are at the center of education and training, the opinions of teachers and parents about the new system were taken and how the changed system affected students, teachers and parents was examined. In line with this described importance and purpose, the study group of the research consisted of 8th grade students and their parents studying in the province of Hatay and secondary school teachers working in this province. The participants of this research, which was conducted on the basis of survey research, one of the quantitative research study designs, were determined according to the cluster sampling method, and a questionnaire consisting of 5-point Likert-type questions developed by the researcher was used as a data collection tool.
