Özet
Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı uzaktan eğitim yoluyla 6. sınıf sosyal bilgiler dersi“Yönetime Katılıyor”öğrenme alanında eğitici çizgi roman kullanımın öğrencilerin akademik başarıları, demokratik tutumları, bilgilerin kalıcılığı üzerindeki etkilerini ve öğretim materyallerine ilişkin öğrenci deneyimlerini ortaya çıkarmaktır. Yöntem: Karma araştırma metoduyla yürütülen araştırmanın deseni gömülü desendir. Uygulamanın yapılacağı kurum için gerekli izinler alındıktan sonra deney ve kontrol grupları belirlenmiştir. Uygulama online olarak toplamda dokuz hafta 27 ders saatinde yapılmıştır. İlk hafta tanışma, uygulama ile ilgili tanıtım yapılmıştır. Ön test olarak online olarak hazırlanmış akademik başarı testi ve demokratik ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Altı hafta 18 ders saati boyunca uygulama yapılmış ve son hafta ise son test olarak online akademik başarı testi, demokratik tutum ölçeği kullanılmış ve öğrencilerin uygulama ile ilgili görüşlerini belirlemek üzere yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu online olarak uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada nicel verilerin analizi için SPSS 20.0 analiz programı, nitel veriler için de içerik analizi tekniği kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Analizler sonucunda elde edilen bulgulara göre eğitici çizgi romanların kullanıldığı Deney Grubu öğrencileri ile Kontrol grubu öğrencileri arasında akademik başarı, demokratik tutum ve bilgilerin kalıcılığı açsından puan ortalamaları arasında anlamlı farklılık oluştuğu görülmüştür. Görüşmelerden elde edilen bulgulara göre öğrencilerin eğitici çizgi romanın uzaktan eğitim yoluyla çevrim içi (online) ortamlarda kullanılmasından memnun oldukları ve bu öğretim materyallerini öğretici, eğlendirici, dikkat çekici olarak değerlendirdikleri görülmüştür. Sonuçlar: Uzaktan eğitim yoluyla çevrim içi olarak sosyal bilgiler dersinde kullanılan eğitici çizgi romanın öğrencilerin akademik başarıları, demokratik tutumları ve bilgilerinin kalıcılığı üzerinde olumlu etkiye sahip olduğu ve öğrencilerin uzaktan eğitim yoluyla kullanılan bu öğretim materyallerini etkili ve olumlu buldukları sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Purpose: The aim of this study is to reveal the effects of the use of educational comics on the academic achievement, democratic attitudes, permanence of information of the students in the learning field of“Participating in the Management”of the 6th grade social studies course through distance education, and to reveal the student experiences regarding the teaching materials. Method: The pattern of the research conducted with the mixed research method is the embedded design. After obtaining the necessary permissions for the institution where the application will be made, the experimental and control groups were determined. The application was made online in a total of nine weeks and 27 lesson hours. In the first week, introductions were made about the introduction and the application. As a pre-test, an online academic achievement test and a democratic scale were applied. The application was made for 18 lesson hours in six weeks, and in the last week, the online academic achievement test and the democratic attitude scale were used as the post-test, and a semi-structured interview form was applied online to determine the opinions of the students about the application. In the research, SPSS 20.0 analysis program was used for the analysis of quantitative data, and content analysis technique was used for qualitative data. Findings: According to the findings obtained as a result of the analyzes, it was observed that there was a significant difference between the students of the Experimental Group, in which educational comics were used, and the students of the Control group, in terms of academic achievement, democratic attitude and permanence of knowledge. According to the findings obtained from the interviews, it was seen that the students were satisfied with the use of educational comics in classroom online (online) environments through distance education, and they evaluated these teaching materials as instructive, entertaining and remarkable. Conclusions: It has been concluded that the educational comics used in the social studies course online through distance education have a positive effect on the academic success, democratic attitudes and permanence of the knowledge of the students, and the students find these teaching materials used through distance education effective and positive.
