The Syrian Civil War has created a spillover of refugees which affected several countries. Jordan among the refugee-recipient countries stands out with the 3rd highest number of refugees that it shelters, to a shocking point where one in every 13 people in the Hashemite Kingdom is now a Syrian refugee. In this study, we will explore how the Jordanian people perceive that one in every thirteen; the Syrian refugee, in the country's capital city of Amman. And we mean to stand out as a study by providing the reader with insight on what different segments of the Jordanian society think about the refugee situation in their country. To that aim, we will be focusing on gender, age and income groups. We will draw on the use of quantitative methods and statistics for the analysis of the survey results by which we hope to receive the least possible subjective results. Our study utilizes descriptive and inferential statistics, with the latter being used to test our hypotheses. The study concludes that there are indeed perception differences between different segments of the Jordanian society.
