The aim of this dissertation is to develop and contexulize the ideas and practise to account for the role of an actor / performer in contemporary theatre practise. Is it limitations and boundaries that expand / stretch our connection with the performance and challenge them? Which creates new forms of discourse, spectatorship and explore new paths to create excitement in the possible communication between the audience and the performer. From the point of view of visual arts, Performance Art presented itself as an expansion of pictorial or object-like presentation of reality through the addition of the dimension of time. Moreover; duration, momentariness, simultaneity and unrepeatability become experience of time and logic. Such a form of art that no longer restricts itself to presenting the final outcome of its secret creative process but instead valorizes the temporal process of becoming a picture as a 'theatrical' process.
