Özet
Tarihi şehirler, barındırdıkları kültürlerin izlerini taşıyan önemli taşınmaz kültürel miraslardır. Her kültür, dini, kamu, eğitim binaları ve evleri ile yıllar boyunca kendi mimari dilini oluşturur. Geleneksel evler, bu kültürlerin yaşam biçimleri ve gelenekleri hakkında birçok bilgi içerir. İnsanların yaşadığı dönemlerin değer ve yaşam tarzlarının birleşiminin sonucu olan bu geleneksel yapıların aynı grupları kendi içlerinde bir kavram ve düzene sahiptir. Bu geleneksel evleri geleceğe taşımak için, geleneksel evlerin yoğun olduğu tarihi yerleşimlerde dokümantasyon çalışmaları yapılmaktadır. Koruma altındaki geleneksel Lefke evleri, kentin mimari mirasının kültürel bir parçasıdır ve tarihi çevrenin izlerini taşımaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı Lefke'deki geleneksel evlerin cephe tipolojisini incelemektir. Bu bağlamda, birinci derece korunan alanda bulunan geleneksel evlerin yoğun olduğu sokaklar seçilmiştir. 94 ev ve 103 cephenin incelendiği bu tezde evlerin cephe analizi ve düzenlemeleri saha çalışmaları ile incelenmiştir. Evlerin cephe özellikleri ve cephe elemanları da çizimleri içeren envanter çalışmaları ile belgelenmiştir. Elde edilen veriler, sayısal yoğunluklarına göre ayrı olarak tablolaştırılmıştır. Saha çalışması ve envanter çalışmalarından elde edilen veriler ışığında geleneksel Lefke evlerinin cephe tipolojisi belirlenmiştir. İncelenen evlerin cephe ve cephe elemanlarındaki müdahaleler ve bozulmalar belirlenmiş ve alınabilecek tedbirlerden bahsedilmiştir. Bölgenin koruma sorunlarından ve koruma kavramının oluşturulması için yapılabilecek eylemlerden söz edilmiştir.

Historical cities are important immovable cultural heritages that bear the traces of the cultures they host. Each culture creates its own architectural language over the years with its religious, public, educational buildings and houses. Traditional houses contain a lot of information about the living styles and traditions of these cultures. The same groups of these traditional structures, which are the result of the combination of the values and lifestyles of the periods in which people live, have a concept and order within themselves. In order to carry these traditional houses to the future, documentation studies are being carried out in the historical settlements where the traditional houses are dense. Traditional Lefke houses, which are under protection, are a cultural part of the architectural heritage of the city and bear the traces of the historical environment. The aim of this study is to examine the façade typology of traditional houses in Lefke. In this context, streets with a high density of traditional houses were selected in the first degree protected area. In this thesis, in which 94 houses and 103 façades were examined, the façade analysis and arrangements of the houses were inspected by field studies. The façade features and façade elements of the houses, have been documented through inventory studies that included drawings too. The data obtained were tabulated separately according to their numerical density. In the light of the data obtained from the fieldwork and inventory studies, the façade typology of traditional Lefke houses was determined. The interventions and deteriorations in the façade and façade elements of the investigated houses were determined and the measures that could be taken were mentioned. The conservation problems of the region and the actions to be taken for the formation of the protection concept are mentioned.
