Özet
Araştırma ilköğretim öğrencilerinin engelli çocuklara yönelik tutumlarını geliştirmede hemşirelik eğitiminin etkisini değerlendirmek amacıyla randomize kontrollü yarı deneysel olarak yapıldı. Araştırmanın evrenini Zonguldak Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğü'ne bağlı Dr. Derviş Nihat Arkat İlkokulundaki 4. sınıfa devam eden 9-11 yaş grubu çocuklar oluşturmuştur. Çalışmada örneklem seçimi yapılmamış olup evren üzerinde çalışılmıştır. Örneklem seçim kriterlerine uyan 127 öğrenci araştırmanın örneklemini oluşturmuştur. Uygulama sonunda deney grubunda 55 ve kontrol grubunda 55 çocuk araştırma grubunu oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın uygulanmasında deney grubunda yer alan çocuklara“Engellilik Tutum Geliştirme Eğitim”programı uygulandı, kontrol grubundaki çocuklara ise herhangi bir eğitim uygulanmamıştır. Verilerin toplanmasında“Çocuk Kişisel Bilgi Formu”ve“Chedoke- Engelli Çocuklara Yönelik Tutumlar Ölçeği (CATCH)”kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde Ki-Kare testi, Fisher Exact testi, Anova testi, Bonferroni testi ve t-testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya katılan deney ve kontrol grubundaki çocuklar; eğitim öncesi, eğitim sonrası ve tekrar testte engelli çocuklara yönelik tutum ölçeği puanları açısından karşılaştırıldığında; deney ve kontrol grubu eğitim öncesi tutum puanları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılaşma bulunmamıştır ancak eğitim sonrası ve tekrar testte aralarında anlamlı fark saptanmıştır (p>0.05). İlköğretim öğrencilerine verilen 'Engellilik Tutum Geliştirme Eğitimi' öğrencilerin engellilere yönelik tutumlarını olumlu yönde etkilediği sonucuna varılmıştır.

This study which was in randomized controlled and quasi-experimental study design was carried out to evaluate the effect of nursing training on the development of attitudes of primary school students towards children with disabilities. The universe of the research consisted of children aged 9-11 and attending the 4th grade in Dr. Derviş Nihat Arkat Primary School affiliated with Zonguldak Provincial Directorate of National Education. Sample selection was not made in the study and the universe was studied. 127 students who met the sample selection criteria formed the sample of the research. At the end of the implementation, 55 children in the experimental group and 55 children in the control group formed the research group. In the implementation of the study, the“Training on the Development of Attitude toward People with Disabilities”program was applied to children in the experimental group, and no training was applied to children in the control group. The attitudes of the children in the experimental and control groups towards children with disabilities were evaluated before the training, after the training and in the retest.“Child Personal Information Form”and“Chedoke-Mcmaster Attitudes towards Children with Handicaps Scale (CATCH)”were used to collect data. Chi-Square test, Fisher Exact test, Anova test, Bonferroni test and t-test were used in the analysis of data. When the children in the experimental and control groups participating in the study were compared in terms of their attitude scale scores towards children with disabilities before the training, after the training and in the retest, no statistically significant difference was found between the experimental and control groups in terms of the attitude scores before the training; however, there was a significant difference between the experimental and control groups in terms of the attitude scores after the training and in the retest (p>0.05). In this study, it was concluded that the“Training on the Development of Attitude towards People with Disabilities”program given to primary school students positively affected the attitudes of the students towards the individuals with disabilities.
