Özet

IV ÖZET Kimlik gelişimi, ergenliğin temel gelişimsel görevidir. Ergenin kimlik gelişiminde aile algısının büyük rol oynadığı, bu konuda da ailenin işlevsellik düzeyinin en önemli etken olduğu bilinmektedir. Ergenlerin kimlik duygu düzeyleri ile aile algılan arasındaki ilişkinin hem klinik çalışmalar hem de koruyucu ruh sağlığı için önemli olduğu düşünülmüştür. Bu düşünce temel alınarak bu çalışmada ergenin aile algısı ve kimlik duygu düzeyi incelenmiştir. Bulgular 1997-1998 ve 1998-1999 öğrenim yıllarında lise son sınıfta okumakta olup üniversiteye giriş sınavına hazırlanmak üzere özel dershanelere devam etmekte olan öğrencilerden toplanmıştır. Veriler KDDA (Kimlik Duygusu Değerlendirme Aracı) ve ADÖ (Aile Değerlendirme Ölçeği) ile toplanmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda, ergenlerin ailenin işlevlerine ilişkin algılan ve kimlik duygu düzeyleri arasında anlamlı ilişki olduğu, kız ve erkek ergenler arasında yalmzca aile içinde rol dağılımına ilişkin algılarda fark bulunduğu ortaya konmuştur. Ergenlere ilişkin demografik değişkenlerle akademik değişkenlerin, ergenlerin kimlik duygulannı ve aile algılannı yordayıcı etkilerine de bakılmış, analizlerin sonucunda ergenlerin not ortalamalannın, ailelerinin gelir düzeyinin, babalannın yaşımn, sahip olduklan kardeş sayısının, babalannın eğitim düzeylerinin ve babalannın işinin yordayıcı etkiye sahip olduğu görülmüştür.

ABSTRACT Identity development is the main developmental task of adolescence. It is known that the adolescent's perception about his/ her family has strong effect on adolescent's identity development. The most important component of the family which effects the adolescent development is the functions of family. It has been thought that the interaction between the adolescents' level of sense of identity and their perceptions about their family is important for both clinical practices and preventive mental health. In this research, this thought considered as base, the adolescents' perceptions about their family and their level of sense of identity were examined. Findings have been gathered from the graduate students of high schools in the academic years of 1997-1998 and 1998-1999. The data have been collected by the SİAF (Sense of Identity Assessment Form) and the FAD (McMaster Family Assessment Device). In the assessment dealing with the relations between the perceptions of the adolescents about the functions of their family and their level of identity, there was found significant correlation. It has been observed that there has occurred significant difference between boys and girls about the perception of family roles. Also it has been observed that the GPA of the students, the income of their families, the age of their fathers, the number of their siblings, the educational level of their fathers and the proficiency of their fathers can predict the level of sense of their identity and their perceptions about the functions of their families. Gathered findings have been discussed considering the related literature.
