Özet
İslȃm tarihinin Hz. Muhammed'in (s.a.v.) vefatı sonrasındaki dönemde her toplumda görülebilecek bazı anlaşmazlıklar olmuştur. Bu anlaşmazlıkların en önemlilerinden biri hilȃfet meselesi olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Hilȃfet meselesi siyasî bir mesele olarak bilinse de tarihî süreçte bir akide meselesi haline gelmiştir. İtikadî mezheplerin bu konu hakkında farklı görüşleri savunduğu bilinir. Ehl-i Sünnet'in gündemine ise halifelik Şȋa'nın onu kendi siyasi emellerine meşruiyet kazandırma eğilimlerinin sonucunda dinî bir asıl olarak görmeye başlamasından sonra girmiştir. Bu çalışmada Ehl-i Sünnet mezheblerinden biri olan Eş'arîliğin hilâfet hakkındaki görüşleri belirlenmiş ve diğer mezheplerle arasındaki farklılıklar tespit edilmiştir. Eş'arî âlimlerinin bu konu hakkında yönelimleri tespit edilerek görüşlerinin hangi çerçevede olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca konu üzerine yazılmış olan çalışmalar incelenmiş, yazılan eserlerin yönelimleri anlaşılmaya çalışılmıştır. Eş'arî mezhebinin düşünce yapısının yaklaşık 14 asırlık İslȃm kültür ve medeniyetine dayanması, Eş'arî ȃlimlerinin engin birikimleri dikkate alınarak ortaya koyduğu anlayış çerçevesinde özellikle çalışma konumuzun ana temasını oluşturan hilȃfet ile ilgili geliştirdiği yeni bir bakış açısı ve düşünce ekolü muhtevasında yapılmış olması münasebetiyle önem arz etmektedir. Bu açıdan değerlendirildiğinde, çalışma konumuzun İslȃm kültür ve tarihinde çok önemli bir yere sahip hilȃfetin Eş'arîlik anlayışı çerçevesinde değerlendirilmesi yapılmış olup yapılan bu çalışmanın islȃm tarihine ve kültürüne katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir Çalışmanın içeriği iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde kavramsal çerçevede hilȃfet, hilȃfetin tarihi gelişimi, Kur'an ve Sünnet'te halifeliğin yeri ele alınmış olup ikinci bölümde Eş'arîlikte hilȃfet anlayışı, hilȃfetin gerekliliği, halifenin göreve gelme şekli, halifede aranan şartlar, halifeye itaat meselesi, halifenin azledilmesi hususları işlenmiştir.

In the history of Islam, In the period after the death of the Prophet Muhammad, there were some disagreements that can be seen in every society. One of the most important of these disagreements is the issue of caliphate Although the issue of caliphate is known as a political issue, it has become a matter of creed in the historical process. It is known that religious sects defend different views on this issue. The caliphate entered the agenda of the Ahl as-Sunnah after Shī'a began to see it as a religious principle as a result of his tendencies to legitimize his own political ambitions. In this study, the views of the Ash'arītes, one of the Ahl as-Sunnah sects, about the caliphate were determined and the differences between them and the other sects were determined. The orientation of Ash'arī scholars on this issue was determined and the framework of their views was determined. In addition, the studies written on the subject were examined and the tendencies of the written works were tried to be understood. It is important because the thought structure of the Ash'arī sect is based on the Islamic culture and civilization of about 14 centuries, and it has been made in the context of a new point of view and school of thought that it has developed especially about the caliphate, which is the main theme of our study, within the framework of the understanding it has put forward by taking into account the vast accumulation of Ash'arī scholars is doing. When evaluated from this point of view, our study subject has been evaluated within the framework of the Ash'arīsm understanding of the caliphate, which has a very important place in Islamic culture and history, and it is thought that this study will contribute to the history and culture of Islam. The content of the study consists of two parts. In the first chapter, the caliphate, the historical development of the caliphate, the place of the caliphate in the Qur'ān and Sunnah are discussed in the conceptual framework, and in the second part, the understanding of the caliphate in the Ash'arīs, the necessity of the caliphate, the way the caliph came to office, the conditions sought for the caliph, the issue of obedience to the caliph, the dismissal of the caliph are discussed.
