Özet
19. yüzyıl itibariyle Osmanlı Devleti'nde meydana gelen değişimlerin yaşandığı ve devletin maddi ve manevi olarak bir çöküşe doğru yol aldığı bu dönemde, devletin kurtarılması ve ayakta kalması için Osmanlı yöneticileri ve aydınları farklı yollar izleyerek bu çöküşü durdurmaya çalışmıştır. Milliyetçilik akımının etkisini göstermesi ve dünya milletleri tarafından ulusçuluk akımı bu sürecin hızlanmasında etkili olmuştur. Dönem itibariyle kötü yöneticiler ve yönetim zafiyetleriyle devletin daha kötüye gitmesine dur demek için, aydın kesimin gizli çalışmalar yaparak toplumda belirli kesimleri devleti kurtarmaya ikna etmeleri sonrası II. Meşrutiyet ilan edilmiştir. II. Meşrutiyetin ilanı sonrası ise devletin kurtarılacağı fikrinin oluşması ve buna yönelik yapılan çalışmalara da ki en önemli kısım basın ve yayın hayatı olmuştur. Oluşan özgürlük ortamı içerisinde, her fikrin kendine yer bulduğu ve basılan gazete sayısında yaşanana artışından dolayı hareketli bir dönem yaşanmıştır. Gazetelerin halk içerisinde etkisinin artması ve halkın haber alma imkânından dolayı yönetim kısmında yaşanan olaylardan haberdar olmaları sağlanmıştır. Basın içerisinde yerini alan gazetelerden bir tanesi olan Yeni Gazete de muhalif kimliği ile ön plana çıkan gazetelerden bir tanesi olmuştur. Yeni Gazete ve edindiği tavır doğrultusunda genel bir toplum çerçevesi çizilmeye çalışılmış, dönem olayları hakkında bilgiler aktarılmıştır.

İn this period, when the cahnages that took place in the Ottoman Empire were experienced as of the 19th century and the state was heading towards a material and spiritual collapse, Ottoman adminisators and intellectuals tried to stop this collapse by following different ways in order to save the state and survive. The effect of the nationalism movement by the nations of the Word were effective in accelerating this process. As of the period, in order to stop the worsening of the state with administrators and managerial weaknessess, after the intellectuals persuaded certain segments of the society to save the state by conductation secret works, II. Constitutional Monarchy, most important part of the idea that the state would be saved and the studies carried out fort his was the press and puplication life. İn the freedom enviroment that has emerged, a lively period has been experienced due to the increase in the number of newspaper puplished and where every idea found its place. Due to the increase in the influence of the newspaper in the public and opportunity to receive news, it was ensured that the people were informed about the events in the management part. Yeni Gazete, one of the newspaper that took its palace in the press, became one of the newspaper that came to the force with its oppositional identity. İn the line with Yeni Gazete and its attitude, a general framework of society was tried to be drawn, and information about the events of the period was conveyed.
