Özet

Bu çalışmanın temel amacı Gaziantep'te yer alan müze ve tarihi mekânların okul dışı öğrenme bağlamında sosyal bilgiler öğretim programındaki potansiyelini keşfetmektir. Çalışma nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden keşfedici araştırma modeline göre tasarlanmıştır. Gaziantep'teki müzelerden seçilmiş toplam dört müze (Gaziantep Zeugma Mozaik Müzesi, Gaziantep Arkeoloji Müzesi, Gaziantep Oyun ve Oyuncaklar Müzesi, Gaziantep Atatürk Anı Müzesi) ve iki tarihi mekân (Bakırcılar Çarşısı, Gaziantep Kalesi) araştırma kapsamındadır. Araştırma kapsamına alınan tarihi mekânlar ve müzeler ziyaret edilerek müze ve tarihi mekânlarda gözlemler yapılmış ve sosyal bilgiler öğretim programı (öğrenme alanları, değer, beceri, kazanım, özel amaç, yetkinlik) doküman incelemesine tabi tutularak toplamda 45 okul dışı öğrenme etkinliği geliştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın veri toplama araçlarını 2018 sosyal bilgiler öğretim programı ve müzeler ile tarihi mekânlar oluşturmuştur. Verilerin analizinde doküman incelemesi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda, Gaziantep'te yer alan müzelerin ve tarihi mekânların sosyal bilgiler öğretim programının içeriğiyle uyumlu olan birbirinden zengin nesneleri bünyesinde barındırdığı söylenebilir. Araştırmacı tarafından tasarlanan okul dışı öğrenme etkinlikleri öğrenme alanları ile ilişkilendirildiğinde etkinliklerin bütün öğrenme alanlarına hitap etmesinin yanı sıra daha çok kültür ve miras öğrenme alanı etrafında şekillendiği görülmüştür. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre Zeugma Mozaik Müzesi, Oyun ve Oyuncak Müzesi ve Arkeoloji Müzesi'nin gerek içerisinde barındırdıkları zengin koleksiyonlar gerek uygulama alanlarının geniş olması gerekse de teknolojik açıdan kullandıkları materyaller bakımından etkinlikleri bu mekânlarda gerçekleştirecek olan öğretmenlere avantajlar sağlayabileceği öngörülmüştür. Araştırma kapsamında yer alan okul dışı öğrenme mekânlarından Atatürk Anı Müzesi'nde yer alan eserlerin kültür ve miras, etkin vatandaşlık ve küresel bağlantılar öğrenme alanlarıyla ilişkili olduğu görülmüştür.

The main purpose of this study is to explore the potential of museums and historical places in Gaziantep in the social studies curriculum in the context of out-of-school learning. The study was designed according to the exploratory research model from qualitative research methods. A total of four museums (Gaziantep Zeugma Mosaic Museum, Gaziantep Archeology Museum, Gaziantep Museum of Games and Toys, Gaziantep Atatürk Memorial Museum) and two historical sites (Bakırcılar Bazaar, Gaziantep Castle) were selected from the museums in Gaziantep. A total of 45 out-ofschool learning activities were developed by visiting the historical places and museums included in the scope of the research, making observations in museums and historical places, and subjecting the social studies curriculum (learning areas, values, skills, achievements, specific objectives, competencies) to document analysis. The data collection tools of the study consisted of the 2018 social studies curriculum and museums and historical sites. Document analysis method was used to analyze the data. As a result ofthe study, it can be said that the museums and historicalsites in Gaziantep contain rich objects that are compatible with the content of the social studies curriculum. When the out-of-school learning activities designed by the researcher were associated with learning areas, it was seen that the activities were shaped around the learning area of culture and heritage as well as addressing all learning areas. According to the results of the research, it is predicted that Zeugma Mosaic Museum, Game and Toy Museum and Archaeology Museum can provide advantages to teachers who will carry out activities in these places in terms of the rich collections they contain, the wide application areas and the materials they use technologically. It was seen that the artifacts in Atatürk Memorial Museum, one of the out-of-school learning spaces within the scope of the research, were related to the learning areas of culture and heritage, active citizenship and global connections.
