Özet
2012 yılında yeniden açılan İmam Hatip Ortaokulları (İHO) sayısal olarak ülkemizde bulunan toplam ortaokul sayısının yüzde 18'ine tekabül etmektedir. Din eğitimi açısından bu okullarda diğer ortaokullardan farklı olarak seçimlik olan din, ahlak ve değerler alanı dersleri zorunlu dersler olarak okutulmaktadır. Araştırmanın temel problemi, İHO'larda görev yapan din dersi öğretmenlerinin bu okullardaki din eğitimi hakkında ne düşündüklerinin incelenmesidir. Bu bağlamda; DKAB öğretmenlerinin, din derslerinin öğretim programlarında belirtilen kazanımlar, bu kazanımların öğrenciler tarafından elde edilmesi, velilerin çocuklarını İHO'lara gönderme sebepleri, öğrencilerin bu okullara devam etmelerine sebep olan faktörler vb. gibi konularla ilgili görüş ve düşünceleri ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. İHO'lardaki din eğitiminin mevcut durumunu öğretmenlerin görüşlerinden hareketle yorumlamayabilmek amacıyla nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden görüşme tercih edilmiştir. 27 Şubat- 22 Mart 2023 tarihleri arasında yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılarak yedi farklı İHO'da görev yapan 20 DKAB öğretmeniyle görüşülmüştür. Yapılan bu görüşmeler sonucunda DKAB öğretmenlerinin, İHO'larda yapılan din eğitiminin iyileştirilmesi gerektiğini, bunun için de öncelikle din, ahlak ve değerler alanı derslerinin öğretim programlarının ve ders kitaplarının güncellenmesine ihtiyaç olduğunu düşündükleri sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Öğretmenlerin özellikle vurguladığı bir diğer husus İHO'ların 2012 senesinde yeniden açılmalarına müteakip öğrenci profilinde görülen değişikliktir. Öğretmenlere göre bu değişikliğin en önemli nedeni sosyal medya platformlarıdır. Velilerin ve öğrencilerin bu okullardan beklentilerinin farklılaşmasının da din eğitimini etkilediği tezimizde ulaşılan sonuçlar arasındadır.

The number of Imam Hatip Secondary Schools (İHO), which were reopened in 2012, corresponds to 18% of the total number of secondary schools in our country. In terms of religious education, unlike other secondary schools, the elective courses in the field of religion, morality, and values are taught as compulsory courses in these schools. The main problem of the research is to examine what the religious education teachers working in İHOs think about religious education in these schools. In this context, it has been attempted to reveal the opinions and thoughts of DKAB (Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge) teachers on issues such as the achievements specified in the curricula of religious courses, the attainment of these achievements by students, the reasons why parents send their children to İHOs, and the factors that cause students to continue attending these schools. In order to interpret the current state of religious education in İHOs based on teachers' opinions, the interview method, one of the qualitative research methods, was preferred. Between February 27 and March 22, 2023, 20 DKAB teachers working in seven different İHO were interviewed using a semi-structured interview form. As a result of these interviews, it was concluded that DKAB teachers think that religious education in İHOs needs to be improved, and for this, there is a need to update the curricula and textbooks of the courses in the field of religion, morality, and values. Another issue particularly emphasized by the teachers is the change in the student profile observed following the reopening of İHOs in 2012. According to the teachers, the most important reason for this change is social media platforms. The differentiation of expectations of parents and students from these schools is also among the findings of our thesis that affects religious education.
