'Colourstrings' keman eğitimi yaklaşımının Türk okul şarkılarından yararlanılarak okul müzik eğitiminde kullanılabilirliğinin incelenmesi

Özet

Araştırmada, Kodály yaklaşımı ile temellendirilmiş Colourstrings yönteminin Türk Okul Şarkılarından faydalanılarak, başlangıç seviyesindeki öğrencilerin hem müziksel bilgi ve becerilerine hem de enstrüman eğitiminde gelişimlerine katkısını gözlemlemek amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda araştırmanın çalışma grubu belirlenmiş; deney grubunda 13, kontrol grubunda 12 öğrenci ile çalışılmıştır. Deney grubundaki öğrenciler ile Colourstrings keman eğitimi yöntemi ile 16 haftalık bir eğitim sürecinde çalışılmıştır. Kontrol grubu ise okul müfredatına uygun şekilde süreci tamamlamıştır. Araştırma nicel ve nitel yöntemlerin birlikte kullanıldığı karma yöntem olan“Sıralı Açıklayıcı Desen”ile yürütülmüştür. Nicel süreçte her iki gruba da müzik bilgi testi, müziksel işitme testi ve tutum ölçeği uygulanmış, deney grubu ile yürütülen derslerin video kaydı alınmıştır. 16 haftalık eğitim sürecinde alınan kayıtlardan 1, 2, 5, 6, 9 ve 16. Haftanın videoları uzmanlara değerlendirmeleri için gözlem formları ile birlikte gönderilmiştir. Deney süreci ardından deney ve kontrol grubu öğrencilerine, müzik bilgi testi, müziksel işitme testi ve tutum ölçeği son testi uygulanmıştır. Nitel veri toplama aracı olarak deney grubu öğrencilerine görüşme formu uygulanmıştır. Son olarak öğrencilerin son test uygulamasından 3 ay sonra izleme testi uygulanmış ve veri toplama süreci sonlandırılmıştır.Nicel verilerin analizi sonucunda, deney grubu öğrencilerinin Müzik Bilgisi ve Müziksel İşitme testinde kontrol grubu öğrencilerine göre daha başarılı oldukları saptanmıştır. Nitel veri analizi sonuçlarında ise; öğrencilerin Colourstrings keman eğitimi yaklaşımı ile yürütülen derslerin akılda kalıcı, eğlenceli buldukları belirlenmiş; Türk Okul Şarkılarının, okul müzik eğitiminde müziği öğretme aracı olarak değerlendirilmesinin eğitimin niteliğine yaptığı katkı anlaşılmıştır.

In the research, it is aimed to observe the contribution of the Colourstrings method, based on the Kodály approach, to the development of both the musical knowledge and skills of beginner students and their development in instrument education, by making use of Turkish School Songs. In line with this purpose, the study group of the research was determined; The study was conducted with 13 students in the experimental group and 12 students in the control group. Students in the experimental group were studied with the Colourstrings violin training method during a 16-week training period. The control group completed the process in accordance with the school curriculum. The research was conducted with the“Sequential Explanatory Design”, which is a mixed method in which quantitative and qualitative methods are used together. In the quantitative process, a knowledge test, musical hearing test and attitude scale were applied to both groups, and the lessons conducted with the experimental group were video recorded. From the records taken during the 16-week training period, the videos of Weeks 1, 2, 5, 6, 9 and 16 were sent to the experts along with observation forms for their evaluation. After the experimental process, both experimental and control group students underwent the final music knowledge test, music listening test and attitude scale. A interview form was applied to the experimental group students as a qualitative data collection tool. Finally, a follow-up test was administered to the students three months after the final test application and the data collection process was concluded.As a result of the analysis of quantitative data, it was determined that the experimental group students were more successful than the control group students in the Music Knowledge and Musical Hearing test. In the qualitative data analysis results, it was determined that the students found the lessons conducted with the Colourstrings violin education approach memorable and entertaining; It was understood that the evaluation of Turkish School Songs as a tool for teaching music in school music education contributed to the quality of education.
