This doctoral thesis introduced an easy and novel method to synthesize electrochemical sensors composed of screen-printed solid-contact selective electrodes (SP-ISEs) for the selective estimation of antidepressant drugs, specifically sertraline hydrochloride (SRT) and escitalopram oxalate (Es-Ox). The sensor design took advantage of the advantages of graphite and silver inks that were based on nail coating as a matrix for printing the conductive paths for the reference (pseudo electrode) and the sensor's selective electrode (indicator electrode). The sensor design also benefited from the advantages of molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) as synthetic receptors integrated with selective electrodes. Two MIP formulations were studied, each imprinted with its target molecule (STR or Es-Ox) to enhance sensor selectivity. Sensor fabrication involved dispersing MIP particles within a plasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC) matrix, and the resulting film was deposited gently onto the sensitive orifice of the selective electrode. The developed STR sensor showed a near-Nernstian cation slope of 29.28 ± 0.41 mV/decade (r² = 0.999) and a low detection limit of 18 × 10⁻⁸ mol/L over a wide pH range of 4.0-6.0. Likewise, the Es-Ox sensor showed a quasi-Nairnist cation slope of 29.42 ± 0.40 mV/decade (r² = 0.999) with a low detection limit of 17 × 10⁻⁸ mol/L across the pH range of 5.0-7.0. These sensors' applicability was evaluated to determine STR and Es-Ox in pure and pharmaceutical forms, which were achieved using direct potentiometric, standard addition, and potentiometric titration methods, with recovery values ranging from (97.43% - 102.78%) and (96.34% - 103.97%) for (STR) and (Es-Ox) respectively. Moreover, the results showed excellent agreement with the formal method of HPLC, confirming the effectiveness of the proposed electrochemical sensors
