Özet
Elinizdeki bu metin, üniversite-iktidar ilişkisine dair sosyolojik bir araştırmadır. Orta Çağ'dan günümüze, üniversite idealinin dönüşümüne yönelik sosyolojik bir sorgulamadır. Bu metin, Michel Foucault ve Pierre Bourdieu'nun makro ve mikro analizlerini üniversite kontekstinde birleştirme denemesidir. Bu çalışmada hem üniversite tarihine dair literatür hem de Michel Foucault ve Pierre Bourdieu'nun eserleri incelenerek temel bir argüman öne sürülür: Hakikat kurumu olarak tecessüm etmiş olan üniversite, iktidarla diyalektik ilişkisi sonucunda bu özelliğini yitirmiş ve iktidarın biçimlendirici etkisi altında tarihsel hakikatleri söylem yoluyla üreten bir kurum haline indirgenmiştir. Bu metin tarihi, süreklilikler olarak değil; kopuşlar ve süreksizlikler olarak görmektedir. Bu sebeple sırasıyla Orta Çağ'ın Birinci Nesil Üniversitelerinden Modern Çağ'ın İkinci Nesil Üniversitelerine ve son olarak günümüz Post-modern neoliberal dönemin Üçüncü Nesil Üniversitelerine geçişi inceleyen bu çalışma üniversite tarihini, iktidarların mücadele tarihi olarak okumaktadır.

This text in your hand is a sociological research on the university-power relationship. It is a sociological inquiry into the transformation of the university ideal from the Middle Ages to the present. This text is an attempt to combine the macro and micro analyzes of Michel Foucault and Pierre Bourdieu in a university context. In this study, a basic argument is put forward by examining both the literature on university history and the works of Michel Foucault and Pierre Bourdieu: The university, which has embodied itself as an institution of truth, has lost this feature as a result of its dialectical relationship with power and has become an institution that produces historical truths through discourse under the formative influence of power. has been reduced to an institution. This textual history is presented not as continuities; sees it as ruptures and discontinuities. For this reason, this study, which examines the transition from the First Generation Universities of the Middle Ages to the Second Generation Universities of the Modern Era and finally to the Third Generation Universities of today's Post-modern neoliberal period, reads the history of universities as the history of the struggle of powers.
