Özet
Otizm Spektrum Bozukluğu (OSB) tanısı almış bireylerde ergoterapi uygulamalarının annelerdeki yaşam kalitesi ve okupasyonel performansına etkisi üzerine müdahale çalışması yapılmıştır. OSBtanısı almış çocukların anneleri olacak şekilde 31 olgu dahil edilmiştir. Bu çalışma,“OSB”tanısı almış 3-10 yaş arası çocuklara uygulanan ergoterapi müdahalelerinin annelerdeki okupasyonel performans düzeyi üzerine etkisini, ön-son test uygulamaları ile araştırılmasını kapsamaktadır. Olgulara; Demografik Bilgi Formu, Kanada Aktivite ve Performans Ölçeği (KAPÖ), Bilinçli Farkındalık (Mindfullnes) Ölçeği, Sessiz Ego (Quiet Ego) Ölçeği, SF-36 (Kısa Form) ve Kanada Uygulama Süreci Çerçevesi (CPPF) Modeli haritalaması uygulanmıştır. Bu çalışmada;“OSB”tanılı çocuklara haftada en az birer seans ergoterapi (40 dakika), annelerle ise haftada 1 görüşme (20 dakika) uygulanmıştır. Katılımcılara uygulanmış olan KAPÖ son test sonuçları değerlendirildiğinde, performans ve memnuniyet anketlerinin her ikisinde de istatistiksel olarak fark vardır. (p<0,05). Annelerin yaşam kalitelerinin değerlendirilmesi için“SF-36”ölçeği uygulanmış ve elde edilen verilere göre olumlu yönde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark oluştuğu saptanmıştır (p<0,05). Katılımcıların yaşam kalitelerini etkileyen bilinçli farkındalık düzeylerinin ön – son test sonucunda olumlu yönde etkilendiği ve anlamlı fark oluştuğu saptanmıştır (p<0,05). Katılımcıların Sessiz Ego Ölçeğinin verilerinin karşılaştırıldığı istatistik sonucuna göre yeterli derecede azalma olmadığı ve anlamlı fark oluşmadığı bilgisine ulaşılmıştır (p>0,05). Otizm Spektrum Bozukluğunda ergoterapi müdahalelerinin annelerdeki yaşam kalitesi ve okupasyonel performansı üzerinde pozitif etkisinin olabileceği gözlemlenmiştir. Yapılan araştırmalar ve müdahale süresince ebeveyn rolleri ve yükümlülüklerin anneler üzerinde daha fazla stres ve baskı oluşturduğu, sosyal destek alanında yoğun ihtiyaç duydukları sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

An intervention study was conducted on the effects of occupational therapy applications on the quality of life and occupational performance of mothers in individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). 31 cases were included as mothers of children diagnosed with ASD. This study covers the investigation of the effects of occupational therapy interventions applied to children between the ages of 3-10 diagnosed with“ASD”on the occupational performance level of mothers through pre- and post-test applications. Demographic Information Form, Canadian Activity and Performance Scale (CAPS), Mindfulness Scale, Quiet Ego Scale, SF-36 (Short Form) and Canadian Practice Process Framework (CPPF) Model mapping were applied to the cases. In this study; at least one session of occupational therapy (40 minutes) per week was applied to the children diagnosed with“ASD”, and one meeting (20 minutes) per week was applied to the mothers. When the post-test results of the KAPÖ applied to the participants were evaluated, there was a statistical difference in both performance and satisfaction surveys (p<0.05). The“SF-36”scale was applied to evaluate the quality of life of the mothers and according to the obtained data, a statistically significant difference was found to be positive (p<0.05). It was found that the conscious awareness levels affecting the quality of life of the participants were positively affected as a result of the pre-post test and a significant difference was found (p<0.05). According to the statistical result comparing the data of the Silent Ego Scale of the participants, it was found that there was no sufficient decrease and no significant difference was found (p>0.05). It was observed that occupational therapy interventions in Autism Spectrum Disorder may have a positive effect on the quality of life and occupational performance of mothers. It was concluded that parental roles and responsibilities create more stress and pressure on mothers and that they need intense social support during the research and intervention period.
