Özet
Bu araştırma, stoma bakımında standart hasta kullanımının hemşirelik öğrencilerinin bilgi, memnuniyet ve özgüvenleri üzerine etkisini değerlendirmek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma randomize kontrollü yarı deneysel desende, 2023-2024 eğitim- öğretim yılı güz yarıyılında Hemşirelik Bölümü Yara Bakım Hemşireliği Dersi alan öğrenciler üzerinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemini deney grubunda 24, kontrol grubunda 25 olmak üzere toplam 49 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada veri toplama formları olarak,“Katılımcı Tanılama Formu”,“Stoma Bakım Uygulaması Bilgi Düzeyi Değerlendirme Formu”,“Stoma Bakım Becerisi Dereceli Puanlama Anahtarı”ve“Öğrenmede Öğrenci Memnuniyeti ve Özgüven Ölçeği”kullanılmıştır. Öğrencilere teorik eğitim verildikten sonra“ön test”yapılmıştır. Basit rastgele randomizasyon yöntemi ile iki çalışma grubu oluşturularak, müdahale grubundaki öğrencilere standart hasta ile, kontrol grubundaki öğrencilere ise düşük gerçeklikli simülayon ile stoma bakım becerisi anlatılarak“son test”uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin istatistiksel sonuçlara göre, standart hasta simülasyonu uygulanan deney grubunun; stoma bilgi puan ortalaması ve stoma bakım beceri puan ortalamasının kontrol grubuna göre anlamlı derecede yüksek olduğu bulunmuştur. Gruplar arasında“Öğrenci Memnuniyet ve Öğrenmede Kendine Güven”ölçeği toplam puanı ile“Öğrenmeden Memnuniyet”ve“Öğrenmede Kendine Güven”alt boyut puan ortalamaları açısından istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark olmadığı belirlenmiştir. Araştırmanın sonuçları doğrultusunda hemşirelik eğitiminde stoma bakım becerisi kazandırılması için standart hasta yönteminin kullanılması ve yaygınlaştırılması önerilmektedir.

This study evaluated the effect of standardized patients in stoma care on the knowledge, satisfaction and self-confidence of nursing students. The study was conducted in a randomized, controlled quasi-experimental design on students taking the Wound Care Nursing Course at a Nursing Department in the fall 2023-2024 academic year. The study sample consisted of 49 students, 24 in the experimental group and 25 in the control group. In the study, the“Participant Identification Form,”“Stoma Care Application Knowledge Level Evaluation Form,”“Stoma Care Skill Graded Scoring Key,”and“Student Satisfaction and Self-Confidence in Learning Scale”were used as data collection forms. After the theoretical training was given to the students, a“pre-test”was applied. Two study groups were created with the simple randomization method, and a“post-test”was applied to the students in the intervention group by explaining stoma care skills with a standard patient and to the students in the control group by explaining them with a low-reality model. According to the statistical results of the obtained data, it was found that the mean stoma knowledge score and the mean stoma care skill score of the experimental group, which was applied the standard patient simulation, were significantly higher than the control group. It was determined that there was no statistically significant difference between the groups in terms of the total score of the“Student Satisfaction and Self-Confidence in Learning”scale and the mean scores of the sub-dimensions“Satisfaction with Learning”and“Self-Confidence in Learning”. According to the results of the study, it is recommended to use and disseminate the standard patient method to provide stoma care skills in nursing education.
