Özet (Çeviri)

ABSTRACT 1. THE LIFE OF TIYBÎ 1.1. His Birthplace and His Family The real name of Tıybî ise Mehmed. He is called Mehmet Çelebi. His Mahla is Tıybî. He lived in the first half of 17. century. He is an Ottoman poet. He was born in Istanbul. Any information about his birthday is not found in the sources (references). Unfortunately any information about his family is not present in the sources, too. 1.2.. His Education It isn't known where he was educated and who was his educator. It can be said that he might have studied in Istanbul and its surroundings where he was born and spent his childhood. Because it is understood from his works and the statement of that“Evâil-i hâlinde tahsîl-i ma'rifet ü tekmîl-i fenn kitabet idüp...”that he had school [medrese] education. It is understood from his work that he mastered the sciences of his era that he know the tradition of Divan Poetry very well and that he learnt Persian in the degree he would write poems in Persian. Sakiname of Persian is the proof to his knowledge about Persian. 1.3. His Job It is understood from his statement of“hoş-nüvîs ü hoş-tab'”in Safâyî tezkire that Tıybî was a calligrapher. However we have no information showing that he earned his life in this way like some other calligraphers in his era. It is clear in his works that he had difficulty in earning his life. He complained of that he was not appreciated enough in his epoch. His first job known by us, is clerk at the Dîvân-ı Hümâyûn. Then he attended at the retinue of Ömer Paşa during his governorship and went to many countries.2A Ömer Paşa worked as a governor in the eastern cities in different dates. He was dismissed several times. Mustafa Paşa took his place in turn. Tıybî mentioned him with appreciation the two verses in the end of his manuscript Ü1 and Ü3. Mustafa Paşa was easy-going fluent in speech and inclined to dervish. He was loved by his folk. Müstâkimzâde described Tıybî' s devotion to Ömer Paşa in the way of the phrase that“kâtibu'l divân li'l - vezir Ömer Paşa vâliyü'l Bağdâd li eş'âr”without giving any date. In addition the phrase that he was“the Baghdad governor Ömer Paşa' s clerk of Divân”was present in Tuhfe-i Nailî, too. According to these phrases Tıybî was with Ömer Paşa especially during his governorship of Baghdad. However Ömer Paşa was appointed again to Erzurum' s governorship after he was a governor for four years in Baghdad. Then in 1684 second time, in 1687 twice time and in 1689 fourth time he was appointed to Baghdad after his first appointment in 1677 and he was dismissed. It isn't known in which of these dates Tıybî was with Ömer Paşa. That Tıybî was a clerk at Divân-ı Hümâyûn was pointed in Beliğ's Zübdeti'l Eş'âr and in Şeyhî Mehmed's VakâyiüT-Fuzalâ. It is recorded, that Tıybî was a clerk at Baghdad's and in Egypt's governoship in Vakâyi'l Fuzalâ, Sicill-i Osmânî, Mecelletü'l Nisâb and Tuhfe-i Naili. According to Safayi, he worked as a clerk for Egypt governor, Baghdad governor, Şam governor and Kahire governor. He was called Mehmed Çelebi in Türkçe Yazma Divanlar Katalogu, Beliğ Sicill-i Osmânî and Tuhfe-i Nailî. He was called Tıybî Çelebi. In Ottomans, especially from the XIV. century to the XVIII. century, the word of 'Çelebi' was used to qualify those who were cultured, those who belonged to High Society, those who were well-educated like scientists, Divan poets, masters of pen, clerks at Divan-i Hümâyûn and even some of those who were non-Moslems while it was also used for Ottoman Şehzade in the first epoch. The word was used in different means since the XVIII. century, too. Yet we must remind that this word was used in related to mevlevilik. Whether Tıybî was a member of a tarikat cannot be found out from his poets. There are only two gazel in Safvet Tezkire of Tıybî. The date of his death is recorded as 1679 A.C. in all the sources which include few or much information about Tıybî. The place of his death and the place where he was buried is not known.
