Özet

İlk dönem tefsir rivayetleri üzerinde yürütülen çalışmalar hem tefsir tarihi hem de tefsir usulü açısından kayda değerdir. Tefsir ilminin alt disiplinlerinin ilk dönemdeki anlam ve işlevinin tespiti, sonraki süreçte bu disiplinlerin kavramsal ve usûl açısından kazandığı veya kaybettiklerinin izlerini sürmeye yarayacaktır. Bir yönüyle de bu tespit, çağdaş Kur'an yorumlarının sağlıklı bir şekilde eleştirebilmesine imkân tanıyacaktır. Bugün tartışma konusu olan yorum biçimlerinin türediliği veya değilliği eski ile yeni arasındaki geçişi sağlayan kişiler veya eserleri üzerinden tespit edilebilecektir. Bu gayeyle tabiîn dönemi müfessirlerinden Atâ b. Ebî Rabâh'ın (ö. 114/732) Kur'an yorumu çalışmaya konu edilmiştir. Atâ'nın kendi tarihinden başlayarak ilerleyen çalışma, müstakil bir tefsir eseri günümüze ulaşmadığından rivayetleri üzerinden yürütülmüş ve onun Kur'an yorumuyla nihayete ermiştir. Bu sıralama müfessirin Kur'an yorumunu kendi tarih ve kimliğiyle bağlantılı okumaya imkân sağlamıştır. Rivayetler tasnif ve tahlil edilerek Atâ'nın Kur'an yorumunun ortaya konacağı ana malzeme belirlenmiştir. Bu rivayet malzemesi üzerinde onun Kur'an'a yaklaşımı, yorum kaynakları ve yorum usûlü tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Buna göre Atâ'nın Kur'an'a yaklaşımında hem kişisel hem de dönemsel etkilerin olduğu söylenebilir. Yorum kaynaklarının, yine kendi dönemine göre tasnif edildiğinde daha sağlıklı tanımlara ulaşıldığı görülmüştür. Usûlde ise bugün üzerinde ihtilaf edilen konuların Atâ döneminde nasıl anlaşıldığı belirlenerek çözüm önerisi olarak yer alması hedeflenmiştir.

The studies on Riwayah and Tafsir of the Early Period are deemed to be of utmost importance from the perspective of both History and Usûl at-Tafsir. Identifying the meaning and functions of the scholarly sub-disciplines of Tafsir in the early period will help trace the conceptual and methodological aspects that were gained and lost in the forthcoming periods. In a sense, this identification will make it possible to create a healthy criticism of the contemporary Qur'anic interpretation. The fact that the forms of interpretation that are being subjected to inquiry in our times is an innovation or not, can be identified through the people and works that contributed to the transition between the old and the new. For this purpose, this study focuses on the Qur'anic interpretation of an interpreter (Mufassir) from the Early Period of the Followers of the Prophet (Tabi'un). The study which begins with the personal history of ʿAṭāʾ ibn Abī Rabāḥ continues with a focus on his Riwayah because of a lack of a standalone work of Tafsir belongifng to him and is finalized with a focus on his Qur'anic interpretation. This arrangement makes it possible to read the mufassir's Qur'anic interpretation through his personal history and sense of identity. The main material upon which the Qur'anic interpretation of ʿAṭāʾ ibn Abī Rabāḥ can be based is identified by classification (Tasnif) and analysis of the Riwayah. This material on Riwayah was used to observe his Qur'anic approach as well as his sources and methodology of interpretation. Thus, we can conclude that ʿAṭāʾ's Qur'anic approach bears the impacts of both his identity and that of the period in which he lived. It has also been observed that once the sources of interpretation are classified as per their periods, healthier definitions have been reached. Concerning the Usûl Al-Fiqh, this study attempts to offer a proposal of solution by identifying how topics that are disputed today were understood at the time of ʿAṭāʾ ibn Abī Rabāḥ.
