Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı; çocukları ilkokula devam eden bir grup ebeveyne sunulan“Bilinçli Medya Kullanımı”psikoeğitim programının, katılımcı ebeveynlerin dijital ebeveynlik farkındalık düzeyine ve ilkokula devam eden çocuklarının problemli medya kullanım düzeylerine etkisinin incelenmesidir. Çalışmanın deseni öntest-sontest eşleştirilmiş kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel desen olup, çalışma grubunu çocuğu 2023-2024 eğitim öğretim yılında Ankara ilindeki özel bir ilkokulda eğitim görmekte olan 52 ebeveyn oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın bağımsız değişkeni olan ebeveynlere sunulan“Bilinçli Medya Kullanımı”psikoeğitim programı araştırmacı tarafından çalışma kapsamında geliştirilmiş olup, beş oturumdan oluşmaktadır. Bağımlı değişken ise ilkokul öğrencilerinin problemli medya kullanımı ve ebeveynlerin dijital ebeveynlik farkındalığı düzeyleridir. İlkokul öğrencilerinin problemli medya kullanım düzeylerini belirlemek için ebeveynlerinde“Problemli Medya Kullanım Ölçeği”aracılığı ile ebeveynlerin bilinçli medya kullanım düzeylerini belirlemek için“Dijital Ebeveynlik Farkındalık Ölçeği”ile veriler elde edilmiştir. Araştırmada elde edilen bulgular; Dijital Ebeveynlik Farkındalık ölçeği ile Problemli Medya Kullanım ölçeği alt boyutlarının psikoeğitim öncesi alınan ön test ölçümleri ile psikoeğitim sonrası elde edilen son test değerleri arasında anlamlı fark olduğunu göstermektedir. Psikoeğitim verilmeyen kontrol grubunda ise ön test ile son test değerleri arasında anlamlı bir farklılık saptanmamıştır. Araştırma sonucunda ebeveynlere sunulan“Bilinçli Medya Kullanımı”psikoeğitim programının ebeveynlerin dijital farkındalık düzeylerinde anlamlı bir fark oluşturduğu, bununla birlikte ilkokul öğrencilerinin problemi medya kullanım düzeylerinde azalma olduğu saptanmıştır.

The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of the 'Conscious Media Use' psychoeducation programme offered to a group of parents whose children are at primary school on the level of digital parenting awareness of the participating parents and the level of problematic media use of their children at primary school. The design of the study was a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest paired control group design, and the study group consisted of 52 parents whose children were studying in a private primary school in Ankara in the 2023-2024 academic year. The psychoeducation programme 'Conscious Media Use', which is the independent variable of the study, was developed by the researcher as part of the study and consists of five sessions. The dependent variable was the problematic media use of primary school pupils and the level of digital parenting awareness of parents. The data were collected using the 'Problematic Media Use Scale' to determine the level of problematic media use among primary school students and the 'Digital Parenting Awareness Scale' to determine the level of conscious media use among parents. The results of the study show that there is a significant difference between the pre-test scores of the Digital Parenting Awareness Scale and the sub-dimensions of the Problematic Media Use Scale taken before the psychoeducation and the post-test scores obtained after the psychoeducation. In the control group, which did not receive psychoeducation, no significant difference was found between the pre- and post-test scores. As a result of the research, it was found that the 'Conscious Media Use' psychoeducation programme offered to the parents created a significant difference in the digital awareness levels of the parents, while there was a decrease in the problematic media use levels of the primary school students.
