Özet
Bu tezde, Hecenin I. Kuşağı olarak adlandırılan şairlerin şiirlerinde“öteki”nin tespiti amaçlanmıştır. Tezin konusunu oluşturan Hecenin I. Kuşağı şairleri; Mehmet Emin Yurdakul (1869-1944), Ziya Gökalp (1876-1924), İbrahim Alaettin Gövsa (1889-1949), Orhan Seyfi Orhon (1890-1972), Halit Fahri Ozansoy (1891-1971), Enis Behiç Koryürek (1892-1949), Yusuf Ziya Ortaç (1895-1967), Şüküfe Nihal Başar (1896-1973), Faruk Nafiz Çamlıbel (1898-1973) ve Halide Nusret Zorlutuna (1901-1984)'dır. Şairlerin 1923 yılına kadar yayımladıkları şiirlerinde“öteki”nin unsurları aranmıştır. Tezin birinci bölümünde ulus, uluslaşma, kimlik ve“öteki”ve ötekileştirme kavramları hakkında genel bir çerçeve çizilmiş, öteki kavramının edebî temsiline değinilmiştir. İkinci bölümde, Millî Edebiyat anlayışı çerçevesinde dilde sadeleşme, Türk şiirinde hece vezni, kuşak ve adlandırma sorunu, Hecenin I. Kuşağı, Hecenin II. Kuşağı ve Türk Edebiyatında Hecenin I. Kuşağı'nın yeri üzerinde durulmuştur. Üçüncü bölümde“öteki”nin, dışsal ve içsel konumlanmalarına göre“Mücadele Edilen Öteki”ve“İçimizdeki Öteki”olarak iki temel başlık belirlenmiştir.“Biz”ve“öteki”nin şairler tarafından ele alınış biçimi saptanmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu dönemin eserleri, ulus inşa sürecinde dilde sadeleşmenin, aruz vezni yerine hece vezniyle yazılan halk edebiyatı tarzında şiirlerin tatbiki olarak değerlendirilmelidir. Çalışmamızda şairlerin şiir kitaplarındaki ve süreli yayınlarda kalan şiirleri incelenmiştir. Sonuç olarak, kapsam dâhilindeki şiirlerde, sömürgeci Batılı devletlerin birer düşman olarak“mücadele edilen ”öteki“ni oluşturdukları; azınlıkların, Osmanlı idarecilerinin, hece yerine aruz veznini kullanmaya devam ederek Divan edebiyatı geleneğini sürdürenlerin, savaş koşullarında fakir kesime, yetimlere, kadınlara sırtını çeviren halkın refah kesiminin ”içimizdeki öteki"leri oluşturdukları tespit edilmiştir. Ulus inşa sürecinde millî bilinçle hareket eden bu şairlerin önce dilin sadeleşmesi için adımlar attıkları, sonra heceyi Türk şiirinin hâkim vezni hâline getirdikleri görülmüştür.

In this thesis, it is aimed to detect the“other”in the poems of the poets called the I. Generation of the Syllable. The poets of the I. Generation of Syllable are as follows; Mehmet Emin Yurdakul (1869-1944), Ziya Gökalp (1876-1924), İbrahim Alaettin Gövsa (1889-1949), Orhan Seyfi Orhon (1890-1972), Halit Fahri Ozansoy (1891-1971), Enis Behiç Koryürek (1892- 1949), Yusuf Ziya Ortaç (1895-1967), Şüküfe Nihal Başar (1896-1973), Faruk Nafiz Çamlıbel (1898-1973) and Halide Nusret Zorlutuna (1901-1984). The elements of the“other”were examined in the poems which are published until 1923. In the first chapter, a general framework was drawn about the concepts of nation, nationalization, identity,“other”, marginalization and the literary representation of the I. Generation of Syllable. In the second chapter, simplification of the language within the framework of the understanding of National Literature, syllabic meter in Turkish poetry, generation and naming problem, I. Generation of the Syllable, II. Generation the Syllable and the place of the I. Generation of the Syllable in Turkish Literature were emphasized. In the third chapter, two main headings were determined as“The Struggled Other”and“The Other Within Us”, according to the external and internal positioning of the“other”, and the way“us”and“the other”. The works of this period should be evaluated as the implementation of the simplification of the language in the nation-building process and the folk literature style poems written in syllabic meter instead of prosody meter. In our study, the poems of poets in their poetry books and in periodicals were examined. As a result, in the poems within the scope, Western states as colonialists constitute the“other that is fought against as enemies; It has been determined that minorities, Ottoman administrators, those who continued the tradition of Divan literature by continuing to use the prosody meter instead of syllable, and the wealthy segment of the people who turned their backs on the poor, orphans and women in war conditions, constituted the ”others within us". In this period, it was observed that the poets, who acted with national consciousness under the influence of nationalism and nation-building process, first took steps to simplify the language, and then made a change in the meter of the poem, paving the way for a new poem with syllabic meter written in plain Turkish.
