Özet
Bu araştırmada 6. sınıf“Ses ve Özellikleri”ünitesinin REACT stratejisi ile öğretiminin öğrencilerin akademik başarılarına, fene yönelik tutumlarına ve yaratıcılık düzeylerine etkisinin incelenmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Araştırmada nicel araştırma desenlerinden yarı deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini Manisa Turgutlu ilçesindeki devlet okullarının 6.sınıfında öğrenim gören 46 (25 deney grubu, 21 kontrol grubu) ortaokul öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama amacıyla Ses ve Özellikleri Başarı Testi (SÖBT), Fen Bilimleri Dersine Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği (FBTÖ) ve Yaratıcı Düşünme Becerileri Ölçeği (YDBÖ) kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizi için bağımsız örneklem t testi,bağımlı örneklem t testi ve ANCOVA analizi yapılmıştır. SÖBT ön testinde gruplar arasında anlamlı farklılık görülmüş (p<.05), FBTÖ ve YDBÖ ön test puanları arasında anlamlı farklılık görülmemiştir (p>.05). Çalışmada elde edilen bulgular, REACT stratejisinin öğrencilerin akademik başarıları, fene yönelik tutumları ve yaratıcılık düzeyleri üzerinde istatiksel olarak anlamlı farklılık olduğunu göstermiştir (p<.05). Ön test ve son test puanlarında SÖBT, FBTÖ ve YDBÖ test verilerinde istatiksel olarak anlamlı farklılık görülmüştür (p<.05). Bu çalışma REACT stratejisinin 6. sınıf“Ses ve Özellikleri”ünitesinin öğretiminin öğrencilerin akademik başarılarına, fene yönelik tutumlarına ve yaratıcılık düzeylerini geliştirmede etkili olduğunu ortaya koymuştur. Uygulama sürecinde tasarlanan etkinlikler ve deneyler öğrencilerin bu düzeylerinin istatiksel olarak anlamlı olmasına katkı sağlamıştır. Uygulamada kullanılacak stratejinin verimliliği içerisinde yer alan etkinliklerin içerik bakımından zengin olmasından kaynaklandığı söylenilebilir.

This study aims to investigate the effects of teaching the 6th grade“Sound and Its Properties”unit with the REACT strategy on students' academic achievement, attitudes towards science and creativity levels. Quasi-experimental design, one of the quantitative research designs, was used in the study. The sample of the study consisted of 46 (25 in the experimental group, 21 in the control group) secondary school students studying in the 6th grade of public schools in Turgutlu district of Manisa. Sound and Characteristics Achievement Test (SÖBT), Attitude Scale Towards Science Course (ATS) and Creative Thinking Skills Scale (CTSS) were used for data collection in the study. Independent sample t-test, dependent sample t-test and ANCOVA analysis were performed for the analysis of the data. There was a significant difference between the groups in the SÖBT pre-test (p<.05), but no significant difference was found between the FBTÖ and YDBÖ pre-test scores (p>.05). The findings obtained in the study showed that the REACT strategy had a statistically significant difference on the students' academic success, attitudes towards science and creativity levels (p<.05). There was a statistically significant difference in the pre-test and post-test scores of the SÖBT, FBTÖ and YDBÖ test data (p<.05). This study has shown that the REACT strategy is effective in teaching the 6th grade unit“Sound and Its Properties”in improving students' academic success, attitudes towards science and creativity levels. The activities and experiments designed during the application process contributed to the statistical significance of these levels of the students. It can be said that the efficiency of the strategy to be used in the application is due to the richness of the content of the activities included in it.
