Özet
Tez, Modern Türk tiyatrosunda tiplerin gelişimini; toplumsal açıdan değişim dönüşümünü, temsilini ve işlevini araştıracaktır. Tiyatro yazarlarının; özellikle modernleşme, kimlik oluşumu ve gelenek ile modernite arasındaki etkileşim bağlamında toplumsal gerilimleri, değerleri ve dönüşümleri somutlaştıran sembolik figürler olarak tipleri nasıl inşa ettiklerini inceleyecektir. Tezin amacı; modern Türk tiyatrosunda görülen tipleri tespit etmek ve sınıflandırmak, bu tiplerin toplumsal yapıları, değerleri ve ideolojileri nasıl yansıttığını analiz etmek, bu tiplerin kültürel, tarihsel ve politik değişimlere yanıt olarak evrimini incelemek, modern Türk tiyatrosundaki tipleri, geleneksel Türk tiyatrosu ile Batı edebiyatındaki tiyatro eserlerinde yer alan tiplerle karşılaştırmak, bu türlerdeki tipler üzerinden tiyatronun toplumsal eleştiri, değişim, dönüşüm, gelişim aracı olarak rolünü değerlendirmektir. Bu tezin önemi, Türk tiyatrosundaki tiplere yönelik sınırlı akademik ilgi, bu tiplerin kültürel kimliği yansıtma ve şekillendirmedeki rollerinin kapsamlı bir şekilde analiz edilmesine ihtiyaç doğurmaktadır. Tez, modern Türk tiyatrosunda tiplerin rolüne ilişkin yeni bir bakış açısı sunmak amacıyla teorik, tarihsel ve kendi içinde karşılaştırmalı yaklaşımları bir araya getirmeyi hedeflemektedir. Bu çalışmanın bir diğer önemi de Türkiye'deki edebiyat bilimi çalışmalarında çalışılmamış olmasından kaynaklanmaktadır. Bu çalışma öncelikle roman, şiir, hikâye gibi edebî türler üzerine pek çok çalışma yapılmasına karşılık tiyatro üzerine yeteri kadar çalışma yapılmamış olmasından dolayı önem arz etmektedir. Çünkü bu zamana kadar Türkiye'de yapılan akademik çalışmalarda literatür incelendiğinde roman türündeki tipler üzerine farklı bağlamlarda akademik çalışmalar gözlemlenirken modern Türk tiyatro eserlerindeki tiplerin değişim, dönüşüm ve gelişimleri üzerine böyle bir çalışma yapılmadığı fark edilmiştir. Modern Türk tiyatro metinlerindeki tiplerde meydana gelen toplumsal değişim, dönüşüm ve gelişim süreçlerinin karşılaştırmalı tahliline dair herhangi bir akademik çalışma bulunmamaktadır. Bahse konu modern tiyatro metinlerinin tiplerinin gelişimi açısından ele alınması, buradan hareketle bir tahlil denemesine girişilmesi, edebiyat tarihinin eksik bıraktığı noktalardandır. Bu anlamda bu çalışma, edebiyat bilimindeki bu eksikliği kapatmaya çalışacaktır.

The thesis will investigate the development of types in Modern Turkish theater; their social transformation, representation and function. It will examine how playwrights construct types as symbolic figures that embody social tensions, values and transformations, especially in the context of modernization, identity formation and the interaction between tradition and modernity. The aim of the thesis is to identify and classify the types seen in modern Turkish theater, to analyze how these types reflect social structures, values and ideologies, to examine the evolution of these types in response to cultural, historical and political changes, to compare the types in modern Turkish theater with the types in traditional Turkish theater and Western literature, to evaluate the role of theater as a means of social criticism, change, transformation and development through the types in these genres. The importance of this thesis is that the limited academic interest in types in Turkish theater creates the need for a comprehensive analysis of their role in reflecting and shaping cultural identity. The thesis aims to bring together theoretical, historical and comparative approaches in order to offer a new perspective on the role of types in modern Turkish theater. Another importance of this study stems from the fact that it has not been studied in literary studies in Turkey. This study is important primarily because there are many studies on literary genres such as novels, poems and stories, but not enough studies on theater. Because when the literature is examined in the academic studies conducted in Turkey until this time, it has been noticed that while academic studies on the types in the novel genre have been observed in different contexts, no such study has been conducted on the change, transformation and development of the types in modern Turkish theater works. There is no academic study on the comparative analysis of the social change, transformation and development processes occurring in the types in modern Turkish theater texts. Addressing the aforementioned modern theater texts in terms of the development of their characters and attempting an analysis based on these texts is one of the missing points in the history of literature. In this sense, this study will try to fill this gap in literary science.
