Özet

Bu araştırma sınıf öğretmeni adaylarının ses kavramına yönelik bilgi yapılarını kavramsal değişim kuramlarına göre çözümlemeyi amaçlamıştır. Araştırma karma araştırma desenlerinden yakınsayan paralel desene göre tasarlanmıştır. Araştırmanın nitel boyutunu durum çalışması, nicel boyutunu tarama deseni oluşturmaktadır. Veri toplama aracı olarak nicel boyutta ses kavramı bilgi yapısı testi, nitel boyutta standarlaştırılmış açık uçlu görüşme formu ve yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Ulaşılabilir evreni, Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi sınıf öğretmenliği programından ses kavramı bilgi yapısı testi için 195, standartlaştırılmış açık uçlu görüşme formu için 45 ve yarı yapılandırılmış açık uçlu görüşme formu için sekiz katılımcı oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın nicel boyutu SPSS, nitel boyutu betimsel analiz yöntemiyle analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonucunda, sınıf öğretmeni adaylarının“Sesin yayılması”ve“Sesin farklı ortamlarda farklı duyulması”konusu,“Sesin boşlukta neden yayılmadığını belirtir”ve“Sesin bir enerji türü olduğuna değinilir”kazanımına yönelik bilgi yapılarının tutarsız ve parça nitelikli kavramsal değişim kuramına uygun;“Işık ve sesin havadaki sürati”kazanımı için bilgi yapılarının ise tutarlı ve kuram benzeri kavramsal değişim kuramına uygun olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Tutarsız ve tutarlı bilimsel olmayan yanıtlar veren sınıf öğretmeni adaylarının ses kavramını g-ilksel ve kavramsallaştırmalarla algılayışları ortaya koyulmuştur. Kavram yanılgısı onarım kuramına göre sınıf öğretmeni adaylarının sesi madde şemasına uygun olarak yanlış kategorilendirdiği ortaya çıkmıştır. Sınıf öğretmeni adaylarının“Sesin yayılması”ve“Sesin farklı ortamlarda farklı duyulması”konusu,“Sesin boşlukta neden yayılmadığını belirtilir”ve“Işık ve sesin havadaki sürati”kazanımına yönelik sınıf düzeyi ve bilgi yapıları arasında anlamlı bir ilişki ve bu ilişkinin zayıf düzeyde olduğu;“Sesin bir enerji türü olduğuna değinilir”kazanımına yönelik sınıf düzeyi ve bilgi yapıları arasında anlamlı bir ilişki olmadığı ortaya çıkmıştır. Sınıf öğretmeni adaylarının cinsiyetleri ile bilgi yapıları arasında anlamlı bir ilişki olmadığı ortaya çıkmıştır.

This study aimed to analyze the knowledge structures of primary pre-service teachers about the concept of sound according to conceptual change theories. The research was designed according to the convergent parallel design, one of the mixed research designs. The qualitative dimension of the study is a case study, the quantitative dimension is a survey design. As data collection tools, the sound concept knowledge structure test in the quantitative dimension, standardized open-ended interview form and semi-structured open-ended interview form in the qualitative dimension were used. The accessible population consisted of 195 participants for the sound concept knowledge structure test, 45 participants for the standardized open-ended interview form and eight participants for the semi-structured open-ended interview form from Ondokuz Mayıs University classroom education program. The quantitative dimension of the research was analyzed using SPSS, the qualitative dimension was analyzed using descriptive analysis. As a result of the research, it was determined that the knowledge structures of the primary pre-service teachers regarding“Sound propagation”,“Sound being heard differently in different environments”,“It is stated why sound does not propagate in space”and“It is mentioned that sound is a type of energy”were inconsistent and in accordance with the knowledge in pieces conceptual change theory; however, their knowledge structures for“Speed of light and sound in air”were consistent and accordance with the theory-like conceptual change theory. The perception of the concept of sound by the primary pre-service teachers who gave inconsistent and consistent unscientific answers was revealed with p-prims and conceptualizations. According to the misconception repair theory, it was revealed that primary pre-service teachers categorized the sound incorrectly in accordance in the substance schema. It was found that there was a significant relationship between the class level and knowledge structures of the primary pre-service teachers regarding“Sound propagation”,“Sound being heard differently in different environments”,“It is stated why sound does not propagate in space”and“Speed of light and sound in air”; and there was no significant relationship between the class level and knowledge structures regarding for“Sound is mentioned as a type of energy”. No significant relationship was found between the gender and knowledge structures of primary pre-service teachers.
