Özet
Bu araştırma Franz Schubert'in Kontrabas ve tüm yaylı çalgılarca seslendirilen Arpeggione Sonat'ının müzikal ve teknik açıdan incelenerek literatüre katkı sağlaması amacıyla yapılmıştır. Schubert, Arpeggione çalgısı için sipariş üzerine bir eser yazmıştır. Arpeggione çalgısı tarih boyunca yalnızca kısa bir süre ilgi odağı olabilmiş bir çalgıdır, buna rağmen müzik tarihine önemli bir iz bırakmıştır. Solo olarak icra edilmek üzere çok az sayıda eser yazılmış olan bu çalgı, günümüzde daha çok yaylı ailesi repertuarında yer bulmaktadır. Araştırmanın odak noktası olan Arpeggione Sonat, günümüz kontrabas repertuarında oldukça önemli bir yere sahiptir. Bu nedenle Arpeggione Sonat'ın detaylı incelenmesi ve anlaşılması büyük önem taşımaktadır. Bu eserin kontrabas repertuarındaki yeri, transkripsiyon çalışmaları sayesinde daha geniş bir anlam kazanmıştır. Eserin popülerliği, kontrabas icracıları tarafından giderek artmaktadır. Arpeggione Sonat üzerine yapılan bu çalışmada, arpeggione çalgısının özelliklerine, eserin ortaya çıkış sürecine ve tarihsel bağlamına dair bilgiler sunulmuştur. Eserle ilgili yapılan araştırmada arpeggione çalgısı ve kontrabasın tarihinde ortak bir yere sahip viola da gamba çalgısından da bahsedilmiştir. Arpeggione çalgısının nasıl bir enstrüman olduğuna dair detaylı bilgiler derlenmiştir. Arpeggione'nin icra teknikleri dönemine göre yenilikçi bir çalgı olarak kabul görmesine katkı sağlamıştır Klasik Dönem ve Romantik Dönem arasında kıyaslamalar yapılmış ve ayırt edici özellikleri detaylarıyla açıklanmıştır. Bu iki dönemin müzikal ve teknik açıdan temel farklarının belirlenmesi, eserin daha doğru anlaşılmasını sağlamıştır. Erken Romantik Dönemin en önemli bestecilerinden biri olan ve bu araştırmanın konusu olan sonatın bestecisi Franz Schubert'in hayatı ve müzikal bakış açısına dair detaylı bir araştırma yapılmıştır. Schubert'in müzikal bakış açısı araştırmanın önemli bir bölümünü oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma, müzikal açıdan incelemeler ele alınarak Schubert'in bestecilik tarzının özelliklerini vurgulamaktadır. Schubet'in Arpeggione Sonat'ı form bilgisi ve müzikal açıdan incelenmiş ve kontrabas transkripsiyonu üzerine çalışılmıştır. Kontrabas ve arpeggione çalgısının ortak yönleri saptanmıştır. Arpeggione Sonat'ın kontrabas icrasında yeni teknik denemeler yapılması, eserin performans pratiğine katkı sağlamaktadır. Bu iki enstrümanın kendine has ses renkleri ele alınarak eserin bütünsel olarak müzikal anlamı ortaya konmuştur. Kontrabas çalgısıyla başka enstrümanlar için yazılmış birçok eser seslendirilmektedir. Arpeggione Sonat gibi kontrabas için transkripsiyonu bulunan bir eseri incelemek bu eseri kontrabas repertuarı açısından daha anlaşılır kılmıştır. Kontrabas çalgısında Arpeggione Sonat eserini icra etmenin zorlukları ve özel gereksinimlerine değinilmiştir. Eserin kontrabas ile performans pratiği yönünden ortaya çıkan zorluklar ve çözüm önerileri ele alınmıştır. Eserin hem icra hem de müzikal açıdan ele alınması daha çok müzisyen tarafından seslendirilmesine olanak sağlayacak ve daha büyük bir kitleye ulaşmasını sağlayacaktır. Bu araştırma icracılara ve konu üzerinde çalışacak olan akademisyenlere yardımcı olmak için hazırlanmıştır. Bu bağlamda, literatüre yeni bilgiler kazandırmak ve bu alandaki çalışmaları teşvik etmek hedeflenmiştir.

This research was conducted to contribute to the literature by analyzing the musical and technical aspects of Franz Schubert's Arpeggione Sonata, which is performed by Contrabass and all string instruments. Schubert wrote a commissioned work for the Arpeggione instrument. The Arpeggione is an instrument that has only been the center of attention for a short period of time throughout history, yet it has left an important mark on the history of music. Very few works have been written to be performed as a solo instrument, and today it is mostly found in the repertoire of string families. The Arpeggione Sonata, which is the focus of the research, has a very important place in today's contrabass repertoire. Therefore, a detailed analysis and understanding of the Arpeggione Sonata is of great importance. The place of this work in the contrabass repertoire has gained a wider meaning thanks to transcription studies. The popularity of the work is increasing among contrabass players. In this study on the Arpeggione Sonata, information about the characteristics of the arpeggione instrument, the emergence process and the historical context of the work is presented. In the research on the work, the viola da gamba, which has a common place in the history of the arpeggione instrument and the contrabass, was also mentioned. Detailed information about what kind of instrument the arpeggione is was compiled. The performance techniques of the arpeggione contributed to its acceptance as an innovative instrument for its time. Comparisons were made between the Classical and Romantic Periods and their distinctive features were explained in detail. Identifying the main musical and technical differences of these two periods has provided a more accurate understanding of the work. A detailed research was conducted on the life and musical perspective of Franz Schubert, one of the most important composers of the Early Romantic Period and the composer of the sonata that is the subject of this study. Schubert's musical perspective constitutes an important part of the research. The research emphasizes the characteristics of Schubert's compositional style through musical analysis. Schubet's Arpeggione Sonata is analyzed from a formal and musical point of view and its transcription for contrabass is studied. The commonalities between the contrabass and the arpeggione instrument were identified. New technical experiments in the contrabass performance of the Arpeggione Sonata contribute to the performance practice of the work. The musical meaning of the work as a whole was revealed by considering the unique sound colors of these two instruments. Many works written for other instruments are performed with the contrabass instrument. Analyzing a work such as Arpeggione Sonata, which has a transcription for contrabass, made this work more understandable in terms of contrabass repertoire. The difficulties and special requirements of performing the Arpeggione Sonata on the contrabass are discussed. The difficulties arising in terms of the performance practice of the work with the contrabass and solution suggestions are discussed. Addressing the work from both performance and musical perspectives will allow it to be performed by more musicians and reach a wider audience. This research has been prepared to help performers and academicians who will work on the subject. In this context, it is aimed to provide new information to the literature and to encourage studies in this field.
