Özet

Bu araştırmanın temel amacı; Cumhuriyetin kuruluş yılları yazarı Ömer SEYFETTİN, 1950 sonrası Türkiye yazarlarından Aziz NESİN ve 2000 yılları ve sonrasında yaşadığımız döneme yakın yazarlardan Yalvaç URAL'ın çocuk edebiyatına yönelik eserlerinin toplumsal cinsiyet bakımından incelenerek, geçmişten günümüze çocuk edebiyatı eserlerinde toplumsal cinsiyet algısının farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığının belirlenmesi açısından incelenmesidir. Araştırmanın alt amaçlarına uygun olarak ilgili 3 yazarın 8'er kitabı rastgele seçilerek incelenmiş ve alt amaçlardaki sorulara cevap aranmıştır. Araştırmanın birinci bölümünde problem durumuna bağlı olarak alt problemler, tezin önemi ve amacı, sınırlılıklar ve sayılar belirtilmiş, konuyla ilgili araştırmalara kısaca yer verilmiştir. Araştırmanın ikinci bölümünde çocuk edebiyatının ne olduğu türleri, toplumsal cinsiyetin ne olduğu, önemi ve ilgili araştırmalarla kavramsal çerçeve oluşturulmuştur. Araştırma nitel araştırma yöntemlerine uygun olarak tasarlanmıştır. Nitel araştırma kapsamında yapılan bu çalışmada betimsel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada yapılan incelemelerden elde edilen veriler, araştırmanın ana amacı ve alt amaçları göz önünde bulundurularak analiz edilmiştir. İncelemeye alınan eserler tek tek taranmıştır. Yapılan taramadan elde edilen veriler bulgu olarak kayıt altına alınmıştır. Her kitap toplumsal cinsiyet algısına yönelik oluşturulan sorular üzerinden incelenmiş ve her soru ile ilgili sayı bazında tablolar oluşturulmuştur. Oluşturulan tablolardan yola çıkarak elde edilen veriler alıntılarla ifade edilmiş, toplumsal cinsiyet algısı ile ilgili sonuçlara ulaşılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlarda; incelenen kitaplarda her yazarın kendi eserleri üzerinden değerlendirilmesinin yanında yazarların yaşadığı ya da eser verdiği zaman diliminin eserleri üzerinde toplumsal cinsiyet algısı açısından etkide bulunmakta olduğunu görmekteyiz. Bununla birlikte Yalvaç URAL eserlerinde kullanılan dilin toplumsal cinsiyet algısından çok uzak bir görünüm gösterdiğini, yazarın toplumsal değerleri işlerken kadın ve erkek karakterlerin rollerinden çok az yararlandığını, Ömer SEYFETTİN hikâyelerinde bulunulan zamanında etkisiyle kadın karakterin neredeyse olmadığını veya pasif karakter olarak evde tasvir edildiğini, Aziz NESİN hikâyelerinde Cumhuriyetin ilk yıllarında kadın karakterin varlığının çok az olduğunu fakat Cumhuriyet dönemi ile birlikte yaşamın her alanında kadın karaktere yer verildiğini görmekteyiz. Temel amaç çocuklara değerleri vermek olup onlara toplumsal cinsiyet statüsü yüklememektir. Kadın da erkek gibi sorumluluk alabilmekte, aile geçimine katkı sağlayabilmekte, ayakları üzerinde durmak zorunda olabilmektedir. Üç yazarın yaşadığı zaman diliminin toplumsal cinsiyet algısının değişerek, kadın karakterin toplumun daha fazla parçasının olduğu bir duruma geldiği görülmektedir. Bununla birlikte çocuklara okutulacak kitapların toplumsal cinsiyet algısı açısından ne kadar önemli olduğu ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgular tartışılmış ve sonuçlar doğrultusunda önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

The main purpose of this research is to examine in terms of gender the children's literature works of Ömer SEYFETTİN, the writer of the founding years of the Republic, Aziz NESİN, one of the writers of Turkey after 1950, and Yalvaç URAL, one of the writers close to the period we live in after the 2000s, and to examine whether the perception of gender in children's literature works has differed from past to present. In accordance with the sub-goals of the research, 8 books from each of the three relevant authors have been randomly selected and examined, and answers to the questions of sub-goals have been sought. In the first part of the research, sub- problems depending on the problem situation, the importance and the purpose of the thesis, limitations and assumptions are clearly stated, the research of the subject is briefly included. In the second part of the research, a conceptual framework has been created with the types of children's literature, what gender is, its importance and related research. The research has been designed in accordance with quantitative research methods. In this study conducted within the scope of quantitative research, a descriptive scanning model has been used. The data obtained from the examinations conducted in the research has been analyzed considering the main purpose and sub-goals of the research. The books of Ömer SEYFETTİN, Yalvaç URAL and Aziz NESİN create the study universe. The study sample consists of 8 randomly selected books of Ömer SEYFETTİN, Yalvaç URAL and Aziz NESİN that suitable for primary school level. The Works included in the review vere scanned one by one. The data obtained from the scan is recorded as evidence. Each book has been examined based on questions regarding gender perception, and tables have been created by numbers for each question. The data obtained based on the tables created have been expressed with extracts, and conclusions regarding gender perception have been reached. In the results obtained from the research; In the books that are examined, we see that alongside evaluating each author on their own works, the time period in which the authors lived or produced their works has an impact on works in terms of gender perception. Moreover we see that the language used by Yalvaç URAL in his works is far from the perception of gender, and that the author benefits the roles of male and female characters while processing social values slightly, in Ömer SEYFETTİN's stories, due to the influence of the time, the female character is almost unavailable or depicted as a passive character at home, in Aziz NESİN's stories, the existence of female characters was very low in the first years of the Republic, but with the Republican period, female characters were included in every area of life. The fundamental purpose is to give values to children and does not upload gender status on them. Just like men, women can already the responsibility, contribute to family income and have to stand on their feet. We can see that the perception of gender has change in time period in which three writers lived and the female character has became a part of society more. Moreover, it has been revealed how important the books to be read to children are in terms of gender perception. The extracts obtained from the research have been discussed and suggestions made in line with the results.
