Özet
Bu çalışmada, sinema ve mimarlık disiplinleri arakesitinde bir ruhsal bozukluk olarak kabul edilen obsesif kompulsif bozukluk (OKB) temasının mekânsal temsilleri incelenmektedir. Çalışmanın amacı, seçilen filmlerde OKB rahatsızlığına sahip karakterlerin çevre ile kurdukları iletişimi, karakterlerin ruhsal durumlarını, mimari mekandaki durumla nasıl yansıtıldığını incelemektir. Kavramsal alt yapı için OKB yaşayan kişilerin bilişsel davranışçı teori temelinde duygu durumlarına ait çalışmalar incelenmiş, çeşitli obsesyon ve kompulsiyonlar bağlamında OKB tanımlanmıştır. Bu davranış veya fikirlerin etkileşim kurduğu mekânsal temsilleri örneklemek için üç farklı film seçilmiştir. Bu filmlerde OKB rahatsızlığına sahip karakterlerin çevre ile kurdukları iletişim, karakterlerin ruhsal durumlarının mimari mekandaki tasarımla nasıl yansıtıldığını incelenmektedir. Çalışma yönteminde göstergebilim ışığında sahnelerden kesitler alınarak mekânsal okumalar yapılmış, bu donmuş görüntülerin temsil ettiği obsesyon, kompulsiyon, psikolojik ruh durumu, eylemler ortaya konmuştur. Sinematografik kompozisyon ögeleriyle ifade edilen ruhsal bozukluk ve mekân arasındaki etkileşimler belirlenmiştir. Renk, kamera hareketleri, ışık gibi sinematografik ögelerle ifadesi incelenen ruhsal bozukluğun kişide oluşturduğu duygu durumları da ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Sonuç olarak, sinemada OKB' ye sahip kişilerin yaşantıları deşifre edilerek, bu duygu durumunun, psikolojik bozukluğun mimari açılardan sinemada nasıl ifade edildiği yönünde bir çalışma ortaya konmuştur. Mekânın psikolojik yansımalarını özgün bir okuma yöntemi ile ortaya koyan bu çalışma, sinema-mimarlık-psikoloji disiplinleri arakesitinde çalışan araştırmacılar için yeni bilgi üreten bir örneklemedir.

This study examines the spatial representations of the theme of obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), which is accepted as a mental disorder at the intersection of cinema and architecture disciplines. The aim of this study is to analyze how the communication between characters with OCD and their environment, as well as their mental states, are reflected through the architectural design within the selected films. For the conceptual framework, studies on the emotional states of people with OCD based on cognitive behavioral theory were examined, and OCD was defined in the context of various obsessions and compulsions. Three different films were chosen to exemplify the spatial representations in which these behaviors or ideas interact. In this film, the communication of characters with OCD with the environment and how the characters' mental states are reflected in the design of the architectural space are examined. As a method in the study, semiotics was used; spatial readings were made by taking sections from the scenes, and the obsession, compulsion, psychological state of mind, and actions represented by these frozen images were revealed. The interactions between the mental disorder and space expressed with cinematographic composition elements were determined. The emotional states created by the mental disorder, whose expression is examined with cinematographic elements such as color, camera movements, and light, have also been revealed. As a result, the experiences of people with OCD in cinema are deciphered, and a study is presented on how this emotional state, psychological disorder, is expressed in terms of architecture in cinema. This study, which reveals the psychological reflections of space with an original reading method, is a sampling that produces new information for researchers working at the intersection of cinema-architecture psychology disciplines.
