Özet
Özdeşlik ilkesi genel olarak felsefenin ve özelde mantık felsefesinin en temel sorunlarından biridir. Çok basit, açık ve anlaşılır görünmesine rağmen mercek altına tutulduğunda aslında bu konu üzerinde uzlaşıya varılmış bir görüşün olmadığı, hatta soruna ilişkin tartışmalarda karşılaşılan görüş çeşitliliğinden dolayı içinden çıkılmaz bir problem olduğu görülür. Bir yanıyla konu ilkede geçen“özdeşlik”teriminin ne anlama geldiğiyle ilgiliyken diğer yandan bir ilke ve kavram olarak özdeşliğin hangi sistemler ve nesneler açısından geçerli olduğuyla ilgilidir. Dolayısıyla günümüzde hem kavram hem de ilkesel düzlemde özdeşliğin içlemine ve kaplamına yönelik tartışmalar sürmektedir. Bu tartışmalar mantıksal, ontolojik, metafizik, epistemolojik ve semantik olmak üzere çeşitli bağlamlara yayılarak ele alınmaktadır. Bu tezin amacı, özdeşlik ilkesiyle ilgili diğer sorunların da çözümüne katkı sunacağı düşüncesiyle, özdeşlik ilkesine ilişkin mantıksal ve ontolojik temellerin açığa çıkarılmasıdır. Bu tez çalışması aracılığıyla özdeşlik ilkesinin incelenmesinin nedeni, yirminci yüzyıldaki, kavramsal ve ilkesel düzlemde olmak üzere özdeşliğe ilişkin olumsuzlayıcı ve reddedici görüşlerin gerekçelerinin incelenmesi gerekliliğidir. Bu bağlamda öncelikle ilkede yer alan özdeşlik teriminin içlemi ve kaplamına, ardından özdeşlik ilkesine ilişkin bir soruşturma yürütülmektedir. Sonuç olarak özdeşlik ilkesinin hem ilkesel hem de kavramsal yönlerine ilişkin reddedici veya yadsıyıcı görüşleri eleştirerek ister mantıksal ister ontolojik ister epistemolojik olsun düşünceye, varolana, bilmeye ve dile ilişkin her türden sürecin zemininde özdeşlik ilkesini varsaymanın kaçınılmaz olduğu iddia edilmektedir.

The principle of identity is one of the most fundamental problems of philosophy in general and in the philosophy of logic in particular. Although it appears to be very simple, clear and comprehensible, when it is scrutinised, it is seen that there is actually no agreed view on this issue, and even that it is an insurmountable problem due to the diversity of views encountered in the discussions on the problem. On the one hand, it is about the meaning of the identity mentioned in the principle; on the other hand, it is about the fields and objects in which identity as a principle and concept is valid. Therefore, today, there are ongoing debates on the intension and extension of identity at both conceptual and principled levels. These debates are addressed in various contexts such as logical, ontological, metaphysical, epistemological and semantic. The aim of this thesis is to reveal the logical and ontological foundations of the principle of identity with the idea that it will contribute to the solution of other problems related to the principle of identity. The reason for examining the principle of identity through this thesis is the necessity of examining the justifications of the negationist and rejectionist views on identity in the twentieth century, both at the conceptual and principled level. In this context, firstly, an enquiry is conducted into the intension and extension of the term identity in the principle, and then into the principle of identity. As a result, it is argued that it is indispensable to assume the principle of identity on the grounds of all kinds of processes related to thought, being, knowing and language, whether logical, ontological or epistemological, by criticising the rejectionist or denialist views regarding both the principled and conceptual aspects of the principle of identity.
