Özet
Bu tez, sanatın, sanatçıyı çevreleyen kültürel, çevresel ve etkileşimde olduğu bireylerle şekillendiğini ve bu etkileşimlerin sanatçının üretimine nasıl yansıdığını incelemektedir. Toplumu şekillendiren mekânların ve sanatçıyı etkileyen çevresel faktörlerin, sanatçının üretiminde belirleyici rol oynadığı vurgulanmıştır. İstanbul, çok kültürlü yapısı ve sanat ortamının evrimi bağlamında önemli bir yer tutmakta ve bu bağlamda İstanbul'un eklektik yapısının sanata nasıl yansıdığı üzerinde durulmaktadır. Kolaj tekniği, hem kavramsal hem de görsel bir çerçevede ele alınarak İstanbul'un sanatsal yapısına katkıları incelenmiştir. Çalışma, iki ana eksende geliştirilmiştir. İlk olarak, konuyla ilgili destekleyici altyapı oluşturulmuş; ikinci olarak ise İstanbul'un çok kültürlü yapısının sanata yansımaları, sanatçıların ve eserlerin seçimiyle incelenmiştir. Bu bağlamda, literatür taraması yapılmış ve teorik ile pratik boyutlarda, çok kültürlülüğün İstanbul'daki sanatsal üretime etkileri derinlemesine araştırılmıştır. Tezde kronolojik bir akış izlenmiş ve her bölümde ilgili konu başlıkları tarihsel bir perspektifle işlenmiştir. Çalışma, beş ana bölümden oluşmaktadır. İlk bölümde çalışmanın amacı, kapsamı ve yöntemi sunulmuş; ikinci bölümde çok kültürlülüğün tanımı ve etkileri ele alınmış; üçüncü bölümde ise İstanbul'un sanatsal ortamı, çok kültürlü geçmişi üzerinden incelenmiştir. Dördüncü bölümde, günümüz sanatçılarının kolaj tekniğini nasıl kullandığı ve çok kültürlülüğün sanatlarına nasıl yansıdığı örneklerle tartışılmıştır. Sonuç bölümünde ise bu konuların analizinden elde edilen veriler bir araya getirilerek, İstanbul'un sanat üretimindeki yeri ve çok kültürlülüğün etkisi üzerinde son değerlendirmeler yapılmıştır. Altıncı ve son bölümde ise sanatçı Ece Beylikci'nin eserlerinde kolaj kullanımının ve kentin araştırılması incelenmiş olup örnek eserlerle desteklenmiştir. Bu çalışma, sanatın çevresel ve kültürel etkileşimlerin bir yansıması olduğunu vurgulamakta ve İstanbul'un çok kültürlü yapısının sanata olan etkilerini derinlemesine incelemektedir. Kolaj tekniği, hem görsel hem de kavramsal anlamda, bu etkilerin en güçlü araçlarından biri olarak seçilmiş ve sanatçılar ile eserler üzerinden detaylı bir inceleme yapılmıştır.

This thesis examines how art is shaped by the culture, environment and individuals surrounding the artist and how these interactions are reflected in the artist's production. It is emphasized that the spaces that shape the society and the environmental factors that affect the artist play a decisive role in the artist's production. Istanbul has an important place in the context of its multicultural structure and the evolution of the art scene, and in this context, it is emphasized how the eclectic structure of Istanbul is reflected in art. The collage technique is examined in both a conceptual and visual framework and its contributions to the artistic structure of Istanbul are analyzed. The study is developed on two main axes. Firstly, the supporting infrastructure on the subject was created; secondly, the reflections of Istanbul's multicultural structure on art were examined through the selection of artists and works. In this context, a literature review was conducted and the effects of multiculturalism on artistic production in Istanbul were investigated in depth in theoretical and practical dimensions. The thesis follows a chronological flow and each chapter deals with the relevant topics in a historical perspective. The study consists of five main chapters. In the first chapter, the purpose, scope and methodology of the study are presented; in the second chapter, the definition and effects of multiculturalism are discussed; in the third chapter, the artistic environment of Istanbul is analyzed through its multicultural past. In the fourth section, how contemporary artists use the collage technique and how multiculturalism is reflected in their art is discussed with examples. In the conclusion, the data obtained from the analysis of these topics are brought together and final evaluations are made on the place of Istanbul in art production and the impact of multiculturalism. In the sixth and final chapter, the use of collage and the exploration of the city in the works of artist Ece Beylikci are analyzed and supported by sample works. This study emphasizes that art is a reflection of environmental and cultural interactions and examines in depth the effects of Istanbul's multicultural structure on art. The collage technique has been chosen as one of the most powerful tools of these effects, both visually and conceptually, and a detailed examination has been made through artists and works.
