ÖZET DOKTORA TEZİ KUR'ÂN TEFSİRİNDE SOSYO-KÜLTÜREL ÇEVRENİN ROLÜ VE BU BAĞLAMDA TÜRKİYE ÖRNEĞİNDE KADIN İbrahim H. Karsh Danışman: Prof. Dr. Sadık Kılıç 1999-Sayfa: 285 Jüri : Prof. Dr : Prof. Dr Cumhuriyet Dönemi Türkiye'sinde“sosyo-kültürel çevrenin, kadınla ilgili ayetler bağlamında Kur' ân yorumlan üzerindeki yansımalan”nı konu edinen bu çalışma,“giriş”,“üç bölüm”ve“sonuç”kısımlarından meydana gelmektedir. Birinci bölümde,“tefsir”,“tevil”terimleri ve kullanım açısından aralarındaki farklar ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır. Ayrıca, yorum etkinliğindeki işlevleri itibarıyla“metin”,“metin sahibi”,“yorumcu”ve“yorum yöntemleri”gibi terim ve tabirler değerlendirilmiştir. Yine söz konusu terim ve tabirlerin, sosyo-kültürel çevrenin yorumlara yansıması açısından durumları incelenmiştir. Sonuçta, söz konusu terim ve tabirlerin ortaya koyduğu gerçekliklerin değişmesine paralel olarak, yorumların da çeşitlendiği ve farklılaştığı sonucuna varılmıştır. Yine buna bağlı olarak, sosyo-kültürel çevrenin yorumlara yansıma yoğunluğunun da değiştiği tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmanın ikinci bölümünde, Türkiye'de gerçekleştirilen Kur'ân'ı anlama çalışmalarında dikkati çeken,“Kur'ân'ın tercüme edilmesi”konusuyla,“Kur'ân yorumunda akılcılık”,“Kur'ân'ın bilimsel tefsiri”,“Kur'ân yorumunda Sünnet'in yeri”ve“Kur'ân'ın tarihsel okunması”gibi temayüller tanıtılmaya çalışılmıştır. Çalışmanın üçüncü bölümünde ise, sosyal ve kültürel gelişmelerin Türkiye bağlamında kadınla ilgili ayetlerin yorumlarına nasıl yansıdığı konusu tahlil edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Neticede, sosyo-kültürel çevrenin, özellikle kadının yaratılışı, örtünmesi, aile içerisindeki durumu, kamu alamndaki konumu, şahitliği, mirastaki payı, çok eşlilik ve boşama konularına ilişkin ayetlerin yorumlarına daha çok yansıdığı ve zaman zaman da belirleyici olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu neticeye varmamızda ise, geneli itibarıyla söz konusu yorumların klasik dönem yorumlarında farklılıkları, kadın haklan çerçevesinde gündeme gelen söylemlerle paralellik arz etmeleri ve zaman zaman yorum metotlanna ters düşmeleri belirleyici olmuştur.

ABSTRACT Ph. D. THESIS THE ROLE OF SOCIO-CULTURAL ENVIRONMENT IN INTERPRETATION OF QUR'AN AND IN THIS CONTEXT WOMEN IN EXAMPLE OF TURKEY Ibrahim H. Karsh Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Sadık Kılıç 1999- Page: 285 Jury : Prof. Dr :Prof. Dr This study deals with the impact and the reflections of socio-cultural environment in the context of verses about women upon the interpretations of Qur'an in Turkey. Our work consists of three chapters and two appendixes, namely an introduction and conclusion. In the Chapter I, the difference between exegesis (tafseer) and interpretation (ta'vil) is dealt with. In addition to this, we also studied on such as the terms“text,”“the owner of the text,”“interpreter,”“the methods of interpretation”and, their influences over the interpretation along with their statues, moreover their roles upon the reflections done by socio-cultural environment. In the end, we found that the nature of the elements cited above and their relations makes the interpretations different, and that by this way socio- cultural environment has its great change-rates over the interpretations. In the Chapter II, we tried to introduce some very important trends mainly happened in Turkey, which have intended to comprehend the Holy Qur'an dealing such as the matter of the translating the Qur'an, the scientific exegesis of the Qur'an, the historical reading of the Qur'an, tradition (Sunnah) in the interpreting the Qur'an, the effects of the rationalism over the Qur'an interpretations etc. In the last Chapter, we study that how were some socio-cultural developments and changes reflected on the interpreting some several verses dealing with woman. In conclusion it is observed that socio-cultural environment made much more effects upon the interpretations of the verses mentioning of the creation of woman, her veiling, the posture of woman in family and in public, her witness in judgement, her portion for the inherited heritage, multi-coupled-marriage and divorcement. We find out that, to achieve this reality, it was heavily influenced by the fact that such interpretations had been different from the classical interpretations, and also we saw that these interpretations are the parellel with the recent expressions about that and the interpretations are in contradiction with the methodologies of the interpretation.
