Özet
Ebû Dâvud, hadis ilmi tarihi bakımından altın çağ kabul edilen hicrî üçüncü asırda yaşamıştır. Bu asır, İslâm Medeniyeti'nin ve İslâmî İlimlerin zirveye ulaştığı hareketli ve bereketli bir dönemdir. Tez konumuz olan Ebû Davud'un Sünen'i, sünen türündeki eserlerin başında gelir. Ancak, özellikle ülkemizde Sünen'in tercümeleri yapılmış olduğu halde, içeriği hakkında müstakil bir araştırmanın olmaması bizi Sünen üzerinde çalışmaya yöneltti. Öncelikle Ebû Dâvud ve Sünen'i hakkında bilgi veren ilk kaynaklara ulaşmaya çalıştık. Ayrıca günümüz hadiscilerinin de eserlerinden ve makalelerinden faydalanmayı ihmal etmedik. Bu çalışmamızda Sünen'i detaylı bir şekilde incelemeye gayret gösterdik. Ebû Davud'un Sünen'i hakkındaki bilgileri, kendisinin Mekke halkına yazdığı risalesinde ana hatlarıyla bulmak mümkün. O, öncelikle fikha ve dolayısıyla metne ehemmiyet vermiştir. Metne verdiği bu önem sebebiyle bir hadisin birden fazla varyantı varsa, bir kısmını verip her birinde vâki olan ihtilaf ve ziyâdeleri kaydet miştir. Bu durum, Ebû Davud'un esas gayesinin, hadislerde mevcut olan fikhî ahkâmı ortaya koymak olduğunu göstermektedir. Sünen, Ebû Davud'un fikıh bablanna göre tertip ettiği sahihinden zayıfina kadar tekrarlar hariç 4800 ahkâm hadisi topladığı ve bunlardan ileri derecede zayıf olardan belirtmeye özen gösterdiği bir eser olup, İslâm dünyasında büyük ilgi görerek müracaat edilen kaynak hadis kitapları araşma girmiş ve Kütüb-i Sitte diye isimlendirdiğimiz altı hadis kitabından birini oluşturmuştur.

Abu Davud has lived in the 3th century of Hegira that is regarded to be the golden age from the point of the history of the hadith science. This century is an age in which all the Islamic sciences and the Civilisation of Islam has reached its summit. Our main subject that is Abu Davud's Sunen, is one of the important Sunen books. In Turkey, Sunen has been translated to Turkish several times, but any kind of study has been done on its content so far. Taht's fact leaded us to make a study on this topic. At the beginning, we attempted to refer main sources which give sufficient data on Abu Davud and His Sunen. In addition, we did not neglect to refer to the contemporary hadith scholars and their works, books, and articles. In this thesis, we made an attempt to research Sunen in detail. It is possible to find general information about His Sunen is his Risale written to the Meccans by himself. He has given the first importance to the Fiqh and through this way to the text. Because of this attitude, if there exist different variants of one hadith, he has mentioned some of them and recorded every disagrements and the differences on every records. This fact shows that his main goal was to point out to the juridicial ahkam (ahkam al-Fiqh) whic existed in the hadiths. Sunen is a book that Abu Davud has arranged in accordance with the juridicial parts (bab al-Fiqh) and collected 4800 hadiths of ahkam out of the repeated ones including the sound and true (sahihs) and the weak (non-sahihs). In this book, he has spent great efforts to show the most weaked ones. Taht's why his Sunen has taken great attraction all over the Islamic world and accepted one of the Six Hadith Books (Kutub al-Sitta), main sources of the Hadith.
