Özet
Bu araştırma, ilköğretimde Türkçe öğretiminde karşılaşılan sorunları belirlemek ve öğretmenlerin performanslarının bu sorunlardan nasıl etkilendiğini ortaya koymak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Bu araştırmanın verileri araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen 'Türkçe Öğretimi Problemleri Envanteri" (T.Ö.P.E.) aracılığıyla 1998-1999 öğretim yılında 4. Ve 5. Sınıflarla Türkçe branş öğretmenlerine uygulanarak toplanmıştır. Anketin uygulanması sonucu elde edilen veriler t-testi ve varyans analizine (ANOVA) tabi tutulmuştur. Türkçe öğretiminde karşılaşılan sorunlar dokuz boyuta ayrılmıştır. Araştırmanın önemli bazı bulguları şöyle özetlenebilir. Öğretmenlerin yaşları, cinsiyetleri, branşları, meslekteki hizmet süreleri, görev yaptıkları sınıflar, hizmet içi eğitim durumları ve çalıştıkları okulun sosyo-ekonomik düzeyi onların problemleri algılayışlarında anlamlı bir farklık yaratmamaktadır. Öğretmenlerin mezun oldukları okullara göre sorunları algılayış düzeylerinde anlamlı bir farklılık tespit edilmiştir. Sorunlardan en çok eğitim fakültesi mezunları etkilenmektedirler. Ayrıca, özel okullarda çalışan öğretmenler devlet okullarında çalışan öğretmenlere göre sorunlardan daha fazla etkilenmektedirler. Türkçe öğretiminde bugüne kadar yapılan araştırmalar yetersizdir. Türkçe öğretiminin sorunlarını tespit etmek ve daha iyi çözümler üretebilmek için daha fazla bilimsel araştırma yapılmalıdır. Fatma SUSAR (KIRMIZI) tC YÜKSEKÖĞRETİM KDRtJLO

This research has been carried out in order to determine the problems which confronted by primary school teachers related to Turkish training. The data of this research were collected by administering“Turkish Teaching Problem Invantory”(TTPI) developed by the researcher during 1998- 1999 school year to the teachers of 4th and 5th classes and branch teachers. The data, obtained were subjected to t-test and analysis of variance(ANOVA). The problems of Turkish teaching, were divided into nine dimensions. Some findings of the research can be summarized as follows: The age, gender, branches, the seniority, the classes they teach, their participation to in- service training and the socio-economic level of their school don't create a significant difference on their perception about the problems. A significant difference was found between their perceptions of the problems and the school types they graduated. The of faculty of education graduates were affected by the problems to the greate extent. Also, the teachers who work for private schools were affected by the problems much more than the teachers who work for public schools. The researches which have been done on Turkish teaching so far, were found inadequate. Much more scientific researchs should be done to determine the problems of Turkish teaching and to suggest better solutions to the problems. Fatma SUSAR (KIRMIZI)
