Özet
ÖZET Bu çalışmamız beş ana bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde; 1914 Savaşı'ndan önceki Avrupa'da politik, ekonomik ve sosyal gelişmeler ile XX. yüzyılın başmda Avrupa'nın dünyadaki rolü; iktisadî, sosyal, siyasî, dinî, sanat ve nüfusça yayılması ele alınmıştır. Bu çerçevede Osmanlı Devleti'nin siyasî durumu, sömürgeci devletlerin Türkiye'deki emelleri ve Birinci Dünya Savaşı'ndan önce Osmanlı Devleti'nin Avrupa ülkeleriyle olan ittifak denemelerini kapsamaktadır. İkinci bölümde; Birinci Dünya Savaşı, Avusturya-Sırbistan savaşı, Rusya, Almanya ve Fransa, İngiltere'nin savaşa girişi, Savaş Sırasında Osmanlı İmparatorluğu'nun Paylaşılması, Osmanlı Devleti'nin savaşa girişi ve altı savaş cephesinde meydana gelen gelişmeler, değişiklikler ve Birinci Dünya Savaşı'nda Türk- Ermeni İlişkileri ve İngiliz Propagandası açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde; savaşm Türk-İngiliz İlişkilerine Etkisi, İngilizlerin Kût-ul- Amâra'da Kuşatılması, 1915 yılında İran'da Askerî Faaliyetler ve İngilizler, Şerif Hüseyin-İngiliz Anlaşması, Şerif Hüseyin'in Açıklaması ve Krallık Unvanı, Osmanlı Devleti'nin Karşı Tedbirleri, 1917 yılı Osmanlı Cepheleri ve Türk-İngiliz Savaşları, 1918 yılı Savaşları ve Osmanlılar yer almıştır. Dördüncü bölümde; Banş yapılması, Savaş Sırasında Banş Görüşmeleri ve Mütarekenin imzalanması, Amerika'nın Banş Girişimleri, İngiltere'nin Telaşı, İngiltere ve Türkiye'nin Mütareke İsteği, Mondros Mütarekesi-Hükümleri ve Mondros Mütarekesinin Genel Karakteri yer almıştır. Beşinci Bölümde; İngiliz işgal dönemi, İngilizlerin Güney-Doğu Anadolu'daki emelleri, İngilizlerin İstanbul'u, Maraş'ı İşgali, İngilizlerin Türklere Karşı Tutundan ve İngiliz-Ermeni Münasebetleri, İngilizlerin Güney-Doğu Anadolu Bölgesindeki Bölücülük Faaliyetleri, İngiliz İşgaline Karşı Tepkiler, İngiltere'nin savaş döneminde kullandığı istihbarat bürosunun işleyişi, İngiliz devlet adamı Mark Sykes'm hünerleri ve İngilizlerin Türk savaş esirlerine karşı yaptıklan işkenceler arşiv belgeleri ışığında ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. 362

SUMMARY The study consists of five main chapters, each of which concentrates on a particular point of subject. Chapter One consists of a social, an economical, political situation in Europe before the First World War, 1914 and the role of Europe in economics, political, cultural, religious, art and craft and the expanse of population in the world. At this juncture, it also deals with the political situation of the Ottoman Empire, the targets of the imperialist countries at the Turkish territories and the Ottoman efforts and struggles to become an alliance with the European countries before the First World War. Chapter Two consists of the beginning of the First World War; Austria- Serbia, Great Britain and the Ottoman Empire and the aims, claims, the activities of Britain's partitions of Turkey and the a brief summary of the six secret treaties with the allied countries, the occupation of Cyprus by the Great Britain, the Dardanelles, Churchill and the Dardanelles, Turkish-Armenian Relations and the British Propaganda during the First World War. Chapter Three consists of the effects of the War to the British-Turkish Relations; British Intentions for Iraq and aggression of Baghdad, The surrounding (siege) of the British Forces in Kût-ül-Amâra by the Turkish Forces, The Military activities in the year 915 and the Britain, Saudi Arabia-Hejaz, The Arab Office, Sheriff Hussein, The Rebellion in Mecca, Hussein's declaration and his uprising against to the Ottoman Government and also the Ottoman defense in the six front against the Entente countries, the war activities in the year 1917, The Frontiers; Iraq, Baghdad, Hejaz, Palestine, Jerusalem and the war activities in the year 1918. Chapter Four consists of Peace efforts; the peace discussions and Armistice, the U.S.A. interference for Peace Purpose, the agitation of Britain, Turkish Desire for the Mudros Armistice, Britain and Armistice, the terms and conditions of the Mudros Armistice and the general character of the Mudros Peace Armistice. 363Chapter Five consists of the era of the British occupation of the Ottoman territories and the attitudes of Britain's towards the South-Eastern Anatolian people, British occupation of Istanbul, Maras and the reaction of the Islamic and non-Islamic world towards the British Occupation. And it also supports with the archives documents the activities of the British Intelligence Agency and the duties, the abilities of the British statesman Sir Mark Sykes in the Turkish region and the physical situations of the Turkish war of prisoners during the First World War. 364 ;.?*«§».- 1 -!-.?
