Özet

ÖZET Amaç: Araştırmamızın amacı, akuaterapi egzersizlerinin Multipl Skleroz'lu (MS) hastalarda denge, postüral kontrol ve yürüme kapasitesi üzerine etkilerini araştırmaktı. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Çalışmaya dahil edilen EDSS değeri 1,0-4,0 arasında olan 34 MS tanılı hasta, akuaterapi (n=17), konvansiyonel tedavi (n=17) olmak üzere iki gruba ayrıldı. Konvansiyonel tedavi grubundaki hastalara konvansiyonel egzersizler ve sanal gerçeklik tabanlı treadmill eğitimi (C-mill), akuaterapi grubundaki hastalara konvansiyonel egzersizler ve sanal gerçeklik tabanlı treadmill (C-mill) eğitimine ilave olarak akuaterapi egzersizleri haftanın 3 günü 45 dk'lık seanslarla toplam 6 hafta boyunca uygulandı. Hastalar tedavi öncesi ve sonrası olmak üzere iki kez değerlendirildi. Katılımcıların denge ve postüral kontrol değerlendirmeleri Berg Denge Ölçeği (BDÖ), HUR Smart Balance cihazında Postüral Stabilite Testi (PST) ve Stabilite Limitleri Testi (SLT) ile, yürüme mesafesi ve hızı 6 Dakika Yürüme Testi (6DYT) ve Zamanlı Kalk Yürü Testi (ZKYT), depresyon ve anksiyete seviyeleri ise Hastane Anksiyete ve Depresyon Ölçeği (HADÖ) ile değerlendirildi. ABSTRACT Purpose: The aim of our research was to investigate the effects of aquatherapy exercises on balance, postural control and walking capacity in patients with Multiple Sclerosis. Material and Methods: 34 MS patients with EDSS values between 1.0 and 4.0 included in the study were divided into two groups: Aquatherapy (n = 17) and conventional treatment (n = 17). Conventional exercises and virtual reality-based treadmill training were applied to the patients in the conventional treatment group, and aquatherapy exercises were applied to the patients in the aquatherapy group, in addition to the conventional exercises and virtual reality-based treadmill training, in 45-minute sessions 3 days a week for a total of 6 weeks. Patients were evaluated twice, before and after treatment. Balance and postural control evaluations of the participants were evaluated with the Berg Balance Scale (BBS), Postural Stability Test (PST) and Stability Limits Test (SLT) on the HUR Smart Balance device, walking distance and speed, 6 Minute Walk Test (6MWT) and Timed Up and Go Test (TUG), depression and anxiety levels were evaluated with the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS).
