Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı, liselerde görev yapmakta olan öğretmenler, öğrenciler ve ailelerinin görüşleri çerçevesinde, öğrencilerin devamsızlık yapma nedenlerini ve öğrencilerin eğitim hayatında yapmış oldukları devamsızlığın ortaya çıkarmış olduğu sorunları incelemektir. Bu çalışma nitel araştırma yöntemiyle tasarlanmış olup durum deseni kullanılarak hazırlanmıştır. 2023-2024 eğitim-öğretim yılında gerçekleştirilen araştırmanın katılımcıları Mardin ili Artuklu ve Kızıltepe ilçelerinde bulunan 10 öğretmen, 10 öğrenci ve 10 veliden oluşmaktadır. Çalışma grubunun belirlenmesinde ölçüt örnekleme ve kartopu örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri, araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen ''Öğretmen Görüşme Formu'', ''Öğrenci Görüşme Formu'' ve ''Veli Görüşme Formu''nun yüz yüze yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmelerin değerlendirilmesi sonucunda elde edilmiştir. Verilerin analizi sonucunda öğretmenlerin, öğrencilerin ve velilerin görüşlerine göre öğrencilerin devamsızlık yapma nedenleri; bireysel nedenler, aile kaynaklı nedenler, öğretmen kaynaklı nedenler, okul ve okul yöneticisi kaynaklı nedenler, çevresel kaynaklı nedenler ve eğitim sistemi ve milli eğitim politikaları kaynaklı nedenler alt başlıkları altında toplanmıştır. Bu alt başlıklardan elde edilen bulgulara göre öğrencilerin devamsızlık sorununda ailelerin yeterli çaba göstermemesi, sağlık ve ulaşım sorunları, okulun öğrencilere cazip gelmemesi, kötü arkadaş ortamı, akran zorbalığı, aile içi şiddet, ailenin ekonomik durumunun kötü olması, eğitim-öğretimin ekonomik sorunların çözümüne olumlu anlamda etki etmeyeceğine inanılması, üniversite mezunu olunsa bile işsiz kalabileceği düşüncesi, aile ile okul arasındaki iletişimin zayıf olması, okul yöneticisi ve öğretmenlerin öğrencilerle uygun dilde iletişim kuramaması gibi faktörler devamsızlığa sebep olmaktadır. Çözüm önerisi olarak da okul içi etkinlikler artırılarak okulların cazip hale gelmesi, yönetici ve öğretmenlerin öğrencilerle olumlu diyaloglar kurması, ekonomik durumu kötü olan ailelere eğitim desteği verilmesi, okuldaki rehberlik hizmetlerinin artırılması, ulaşım sorunlarının giderilmesi, yönetici ve idareciler tarafından okul içi ve okul dışı eğitim stratejilerinin öğrenciler lehine geliştirilmesi gibi yollarla öğrenci devamsızlığının azaltılmasının mümkün olacağı düşünülmektedir.

The purpose of this research is to examine the reasons for students' absenteeism and the problems caused by students' absences in their educational life, within the framework of the opinions of teachers, students and their families working in high schools. This study was designed with the qualitative research method and was prepared using the case study design. The participants of the research conducted in the 2023-2024 academic year consisted of 10 teachers, 10 students and 10 parents in Artuklu and Kızıltepe districts of Mardin province. Criterion sampling and snowball sampling methods were used to determine the study group. The data of the research was obtained as a result of the evaluation of face-to-face semi-structured interviews with teachers, students and parents of the 'Teacher Interview Form', 'Student Interview Form' and 'Parent Interview Form' developed by the researcher in order to reveal three different perspectives on student absenteeism. As a result of the analysis of the data, the reasons for students' absence according to the opinions of teachers, students and parents; They are grouped under the subheadings of individual reasons, family-related reasons, teacher-related reasons, school and school administrator-related reasons, environmentally-related reasons, and reasons originating from the education system and national education policies. According to the findings obtained from these subheadings; Failure of families to make sufficient efforts to solve the problem of student absenteeism, health and transportation problems, school not being attractive to students, bad friend environment, peer bullying, domestic violence, poor economic situation of the family, belief that education will not positively affect the solution of economic problems, even if one is a university graduate Factors such as the thought of being unemployed, poor communication between the family and the school, and the inability of school administrators and teachers to communicate with students in the appropriate language cause absenteeism. As a solution proposal, schools should be made more attractive by increasing in-school activities, administrators and teachers should establish positive dialogues with students, providing educational support to families with poor economic conditions, increasing guidance services at schools, eliminating transportation problems, and developing in-school and out-of-school education strategies by administrators and administrators. It is thought that it will be possible to reduce student absenteeism through ways such as improving student attendance.
