Özellikle, manyetik dipol uyarılmaları Iπ=1+ spin (I) ve belirli bir pariteye (π) sahiptir. 2.
Determination of the atomic nucleus's structure is a pivotal focus of nuclear physics, addressing essential topics such as the binding interactions among nucleons. The most reliable information in this field is obtained by rigorously evaluating the nucleus's response to external influences. Leading nuclear research centers worldwide, including CERN, INFN, GSI, and HILL, have conducted extensive and impactful studies over many years. These excitations culminate in the generation of level diagrams for each nucleus, with dipole excitation standing out as a crucial feature. Dipole excitations are of paramount interest in nuclear structure physics and are actively pursued by researchers employing a variety of theoretical frameworks and by experimentalists alike. As technology continues to advance, especially in experimental contexts, the nature of excitations reaching the MeV energy scale is becoming increasingly significant. Dipole excitations are precisely classified according to their spin and parity values. Notably, magnetic dipole excitations possess a spin (I) of Iπ=1+ and specific parity (π). A critical characteristic of these excitations is the observed transitions between spin-orbit pairs of neutron-neutron or proton-proton levels. Analyses of more than 3,000 nuclides found in the chart of nuclides reveal that nuclei have both different and common features. Recent studies have convincingly shown that nuclei paired as pseudo-mirror nuclei (PMN) with particle-hole symmetry in the level diagrams of nuclei are degenerate at low energy levels, especially quadrupole transitions. In studies looking at the energy systems of these nuclei, it has been observed that the system is easier to understand when examining the E(4+)/E(2+) energy values of PMN nuclei according to the NpNn number. The NpNn quantity is found by multiplying the Nn neutron particle or vacancy counted from the nearest closed shell by the Np proton particle or vacancy. The NpNn quantity is also a measure of the neutron-proton interaction, which is the effect that causes deformation behind the closed shell. This method claims that if the E(4+)/E(2+) ratios of nuclei with the same NpNn number are the same, their nuclear structures are similar. To reach this conclusion, the quantities E(2+), E(4+)/E(2+), and B(E2; 2+→0+) were analyzed for many nuclei in the nuclear chart, considering subclosed shells. A systematic approach was developed. The NpNn system is mainly based on the idea of particle-hole symmetry, and there is no consistent pattern when calculating NpNn using either hole-hole or particle-particle numbers. These scaling properties clearly show how important the proton-neutron force is between pairs of protons and neutrons, whether they are considered as particles or holes. There is no detailed study of this mutual similarity seen at lower energy levels of the level schemes of PMN pairs for higher energy excitations. The aim of this thesis is to rigorously investigate the possibility that the similarity observed in the low-energy quadrupole transitions of PMN pairs of nuclei is also present in the magnetic dipole B(M1;0+ →1+) transitions. Firstly, PMN nucleus pairs were determined by considering the NpNn numbers and E(4+)/E(2+) ratios of the nuclei located in the 150<A<170 region. Accordingly, the nuclei 158Dy-170Hf, 168Yb-160Dy, 160Er-168Hf, 166Hf-162Yb and 166Er-162Dy with NpNn numbers of 160, 192, 140, 120 and 224, respectively, in the determined region were matched as PMN pairs. After this, the properties of the magnetic dipole (M1) excitations of PMN pairs of 158Dy-170Hf, 168Yb-160Dy, 160Er-168Hf, 166Hf-162Yb and 166Er-162Dy, which are even-even deformed in the 150<A<170 mass region, have been analysed in terms of intersections defined at low energies. Magnetic dipole (1+) excitations in nuclei are related to spin-orbit pairs that realise particle-hole transitions between neutron-neutron or proton-proton levels and are present in almost all nuclei The Quasi Particle Random Phase Approximation (QRPA) is one of the most comprehensive and effective theoretical frameworks for analyzing dipole physics. In the QRPA approach, rotational symmetry is broken due to the deformed mean field potential, and rotational invariant (RI) is not conserved. This leads to the mixing of levels with zero energy in the M1 transitions of the nucleus. In this study, the RI-QRPA theory for M1 excitations is utilized by separably selecting the effective restoration forces for RI restoration of isoscalar and isovector terms that cause symmetry diffractions in the QRPA approach. Since the effective restoration forces are self-consistent with the mean field, the theory does not incorporate a new free parameter. In this thesis, it is aimed to investigate the properties of the phenomena of the magnetic dipole within the framework of the microscopic rotation (RI) invariant QRPA model For this purpose, 1. In the first step of the research, analytical expressions were obtained for theoretical calculations: Using the microscopic RI-QRPA model, the deformed Wood-Saxon potential, analytical expressions for the K=0 and K=±1 modes separately, the magnetic dipole reduced transition probabilities B(M1) from the ground state to the excited states (for 0+→1+ excitations), the average energies of the magnetic dipole excitations, the radiation width, and the neutron-proton level structure are calculated and transferred to the Visual Fortran computer program. 2. The B(M1) reduced transition probabilities, cross sections, magnetic dipole strength function, radiation width and neutron-proton level structures of magnetic dipole excitations were calculated for 158Dy-170Hf, 168Yb-160Dy, 160Er-168Hf, 166Hf-162Yb, and 166Er-162Dy PMN pairs up to 15 MeV using Rotational Invariant Quasi Particle Random Phase (RI-QRPA) approach for K=0 and K=1 modes due to deformation effect. The magnetic dipole excitation spectrum, due to its different properties, contains two different excitations in two different energy regions. The first of these is the scissor mode up to 4 MeV, and the other is the spin-flip excitation between 4 and 15 MeV. Moreover, in parallel with the development of technology, experimental dipole physics has expanded its field of study from scissor mode excitations in the 0-4 MeV range to the spin-flip energy region in the energy range above 4 MeV. Based on the research aim of the study, the magnetic dipole excitation properties of 158Dy-170Hf, 168Yb-160Dy, 160Er-168Hf, 166Hf-162Yb, and 166Er-162Dy pseudo-mirror nuclei with particle-hole symmetry were calculated separately for the scissor mode and spin-flip excitation regions comparatively, and the relationship between the B(M1) values of the pseudo-mirror nuclei was investigated. The magnetic dipole cross sections of PMN pairs are also calculated and compared using the (γ,γ) reaction in the TALYS nuclear reaction code. Studies on nuclei with particle-hole symmetry have been limited to the yrast region in the low energy region because of the lack of experimental data. A review of the literature reveals that the behaviour of magnetic scissor mode and spin-flip transitions of pseudo-mirror nuclei with particle-hole symmetry has not been studied so far. 158Dy-170Hf, 168Yb-160Dy, 160Er-168Hf, 166Hf-162Yb and 166Er-162Dy nuclei are located around the mid-shell in terms of neutron and proton numbers and in the regions where the deformation peaks according to the neutron or proton number. Therefore, these are the regions where nucleons and related holes move together, that is, collectively. Scissor mode and spin-flip excitations are the most important indicators of the collective motion of nucleons in the nucleus in recent years. The scissor mode, from a macroscopic point of view, it is explained as oscillations resembling the opening and closing of neutrons and protons like the two ends of scissors, while from a microscopic point of view, it is understood to be the result of particle-hole excitations. As seen, magnetic scissors mode and spin flip excitations are special fields of study, and the study of the reduced transition probabilities B(M1), integrated cross sections, radiation width, neutron-proton level structures, and cross sections of these excitations has long been of interest to researchers. To understand the response of magnetic dipole transitions in PMN nuclei, this study has focused even-even deformed nuclei in 150<A<170 mass region. The findings indicate that the low-lying excitations (2-4 MeV) possess an almost entirely pure orbital character and can be interpreted as scissors mode. Conversely, the high-lying transitions (4-15 MeV) can be interpreted as spin-flip mode due to their spin nature. The available experimental data is consistent with the reduced transition probability tallied up in the energy range of 2–4 MeV, which is nearly equal to ∑B(M1↑) = 3 μ_N^2. The low energy M1 strength fragmentation is also accurately replicated. In addition, this is the first study to theoretically investigate the low-lying and high-lying M1 spectrum of the 158Dy-170Hf, 168Yb-160Dy, 160Er-168Hf, 166Hf-162Yb, 166Er-162Dy PMN pairs. There is currently no experimental data for the low and high parts of the M1 strength in 158Dy, 170Hf, 168Yb, 160Er, 168Hf, 166Hf, 162Yb and 166Er; only 160Dy and 162Dy have data for low-lying M1 dipole strength. However, in recent years, renewed interest in high-lying dipole excitations in spherical and deformed nuclei has emerged. So, the current prediction for the high-lying M1 transitions in 158Dy-170Hf, 168Yb-160Dy, 160Er-168Hf, 166Hf-162Yb, 166Er-162Dy could open the door for more experimental studies on those other nuclei. As a result of the comparison of the numerical results, it has been determined that the symmetric level structure seen in the low and high energy region is also seen in the levels showing collective features in the context of M1 excitations of PMN nuclei.
