Özet
Kadın tarihi ve kadın tarihçiliği, kökenini sosyal tarihin eleştirel yöntemlerinden alan; ancak siyaset bilimi, sosyoloji, antropoloji, iktisat ve edebiyat gibi farklı disiplinlerin kuramsal ve yöntemsel katkılarıyla zenginleşerek gelişen çok katmanlı bir çalışma alanı olarak şekillenmiştir. Kavram olarak“kadın hareketi,”yekpare bir yapıdan ziyade, içinde liberal, sosyalist, radikal ve sonrasında post modern ve queer yönelimli çizgilerin iç içe geçtiği çoğulcu bir alanı ifade eder. Bu çalışma, disiplinler arası birikimden faydalanmakla birlikte, kadın hareketinin seyrini özellikle tarihsel bağlamı ve dönemin siyasal-toplumsal dönüşümleri ekseninde ele alan bir perspektife sahiptir. Böylece, kadınların kolektif özneleşme süreçleri, feminist söylemin oluşumu ve kamusal alandaki görünürlük mücadeleleri tarihsel süreklilikler ve kırılmalar çerçevesinde analiz edilmeye çalışılmıştır. 1980 ile 2000 yılları arasındaki dönem ağırlıklı olmak üzere, Türkiye'de kadın hareketinin geçirdiği dönüşüm tarihsel ve toplumsal bağlamı içinde ele alınırken, aynı zamanda feminist düşüncenin teorik gelişimiyle sahadaki politik pratikler arasındaki karşılıklı etkileşime odaklanılmıştır. Konu yalnızca siyasi ve kurumsal yönleriyle değil, feminist bilginin biçimlenme koşulları ve öznel deneyimler açısından tahlil edilmiştir. Bu yapılırken tarihsel yöntemlerden yararlanılarak hareketin siyasal, toplumsal ve kültürel bağlamlar içindeki dönüşümü bütüncül biçimde ortaya konmak istenmiştir. Kadın hareketinin tarihi boyunca,“patriarka,”“kamusal / özel alan ayrımı,”“beden siyaseti,”“özneleşme,”“kurumsallaşma”gibi temel kavramlar üzerinden yürüyen tartışmalar, Türkiye'ye özgü tarihsel dinamiklerle birlikte değerlendirilerek, feminist hareketin ülkemizdeki özgüllüğü açığa çıkarılmaya çalışılmıştır. Özellikle belirtmek gerekir ki, bu çalışma birçok örnekte görüldüğü gibi sosyolojik genellemeler yerine, tarihsel bağlamın özgünlüğüne ve dönem içi koşulların belirleyiciliğine dayalı bir çözümleme sunar.

Women's history and women's historiography have been shaped as a multi-layered field of study, rooted in the critical methods of social history, but enriched and developed with the theoretical and methodological contributions of different disciplines such as political science, sociology, anthropology, economics and literature. Rather than a monolithic structure, the“women's movement”as a concept refers to a pluralistic field in which liberal, socialist, radical and later postmodern and queer oriented lines are intertwined. This study, while benefiting from interdisciplinary knowledge, has a perspective that examines the course of the women's movement, especially in terms of its historical context and the political-social transformations of the period. Thus, the processes of women's collective subjectivization, the formation of fe-minist discourse and their struggle for visibility in the public sphere are analyzed within the framework of historical continuities and ruptures. Focusing on the period between 1980 and 2000, the transformation of the women's movement in Turkey is examined in its historical and social context, while at the same time focusing on the interplay between the theoretical development of feminist thought and political practices on the ground. The issue is analyzed not only in terms of its political and institutional aspects, but also in terms of the conditions of the formation of feminist knowledge and subjective experiences. In doing so, historical methods are utilized to present the transformation of the movement within political, social and cultural contexts in a holistic manner. Throughout the history of the women's movement, discussions on basic concepts such as“patriarchy,”“public/private sphere distinction,”“body politics,”“subjectification,”“institutionalization”are evaluated together with the historical dynamics specific to Turkey in order to reveal the specificity of the feminist movement in our country. In particular, it should be noted that this study offers an analysis based on the specificity of the historical context and the determinants of the conditions within the period, rather than sociological generalizations as seen in many examples.
