Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı, Erdemir'de takas sistemiyle işçi çocuklarının nasıl işçi olduğunu ve bu süreçte hangi faktörlerin etkili olduğunu incelemek, işçi çocuklarının işçilik deneyimlerine odaklanmaktır. Yıllardır süregelen“takas sistemi”Erdemir'de çalışan ve emekliliğini dolduran işçilerin ihbar ve teşvik tazminatını şirkete bırakarak, yerine oğlunu veya damadını işe aldıran bir sistemdir. Bu sistem, işçiliğin devamlılığını sağlamakta ve yerel halkın fabrikayla kurduğu aidiyet duygusunu güçlendirmektedir. Sunduğu olanaklar ve verdiği ücretler ile iyi bir kazanç ve yaşam sağladığından birçok işçi, çocuklarının da fabrikaya işçi olarak girmesi için çocuğuna ve eğitim hayatlarına müdahale etmektedir. Bu çerçevede, araştırma Ağustos – Kasım 2024 tarihleri arasında gerçekleştirilmiş olup, saha verilerine dayalı nitel bir yöntemle yapılandırılmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında, farklı kuşaklardan işçilerle derinlemesine görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Özellikle takas sistemiyle işe alınan 10 oğul ve 10 baba ile gerçekleştirilen toplam 20 görüşme aracılığıyla, işçi çocuklarının işçiliğe yönelmesinde etkili olan dinamikler analiz edilmiştir. Bu görüşmeler, takas sisteminin nasıl işlediğini, aile içi meslek aktarımının hangi koşullarda sürdüğünü ve bu sürecin sosyo-kültürel bağlamda nasıl anlam kazandığını ortaya koymuştur. Erdemir'in işçi sınıfına ve ailelerine sunduğu bu tür uygulamalar, işçi sınıfının yeniden üretimi ile ilgili yapılabilecek akademik çalışmalar için önemli bir katkı sağlayacaktır.

The aim of this study is to examine how the children of workers became workers with the barter system in Erdemir and what factors were effective in this process, and to focus on the labor experiences of the children of workers. The“barter system”that has been going on for years is a system that leaves the notice and incentive compensation of the workers who work in Erdemir and have completed their retirement to the company and hires their son or son-in-law instead. This system ensures the continuity of labor and strengthens the sense of belonging that the local people have established with the factory. Since they provide a good income and life with the opportunities they offer and the wages they give, many workers interfere with their children and their education life so that their children can enter the factory as workers. In this context, the research was conducted between August and November 2024 and was structured using a qualitative method based on field data. Within the scope of the study, in-depth interviews were conducted with workers from different generations. Through a total of 20 interviews, 10 sons and 10 fathers hired through the barter system, the dynamics that are effective in the orientation of workers' children to labor were analyzed. These interviews reveal how the barter system works, the conditions under which the transfer of professions within the family continues, and how this process gains meaning in a socio-cultural context. Such practices offered by Erdemir to the working class and their families will make an important contribution to academic studies on the reproduction of the working class.
